Hi,
We are going to be making our first trip to WDW with the kids (ages 6 and 7 dds)in March. This will be their first time and we are surprising them. I am going to be booking the trip tomorrow, but I can not deceide which disney resort to stay at. HELP, which would the children like?

Personally, I like being on the monorail. You'll get as many answers as there are resorts, so ask yourself these questions:

1. Where will I spend the most time (which park) and how do I want to travel there? (monorail, boat, bus, etc)

2. How much do I want to spend?

3. Do I care about the amenities at the resort (like the pool) or will I be mostly at the parks?

4. Am I going to go back to the hotel during the day and want more convenient transportation back and forth?

You can see great photos from all the resorts here:

Another great site is Mouseplanet.com. Check out their reviews of different hotels. It gives you an opinion from people who have been there.

Have a great trip! And remember you are on vacation and you need to enjoy yourself!!! :earsboy:

My Vote goes to the Yacht and Beach Club. Why? Location Location, Location. You can walk to Epcot in under 5 minutes. Board a boat and be at Disney/mgm in 5 minutes. Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney, Typhoon Lagoon and the Magic Kingdom are all just short bus rides away. If you look at a map of the whole Disney resort you will see smack dab in the middle is the Y&B Club. Also, it has the best on-site pool, Stormalong Bay with a lazy river, zero entry kids pool, giant water slide etc.... Another great thing about this resort is it is right across from the Boardwalk entertainment area( another 5 minute walk.) The rooms are great, it has its own character breakfast the list goes on and on.........TAZ

I don't know if you are on a budget or not, but I took my DD to POP Century last year and we're going again this March. She loved the "larger than life" statues outside of the buildings (big Lady and Tramp, Potato heads, etc). Besides, chances are you won't be spending that much time at the resort anyhow - it's a good, cheap resort to stay at and the kids seem to love it!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

DS loves the Wilderness Lodge - asks for it everytime we go to Disney
I wanted Beach Club as this will be our 1st WDW vacation in the summertime - this part of the vacation will mostly be the pool wk
I wanted to extend our trip 5more nights so we'll be starting at the Pop - this part will be our park week
