As A Family We Have Been To WDW 6 Times, Ds- 11 And Dd-10. Their Father And I Separated In Jan And It Has Not Been Easy On The Kids. We Have Stayed At Cs, Bw, Sog And That Is What The Kids Are Use To. We Are Attempting To Go With Neighbors In August So That Way The Kids Will Be Disctracted Since We All Know This Trip Will Be Hard Since We Have So Many Memories As A Family.(we Usually Drive And Now Will Fly). Neighbor Has Already Booked Her Trip And Is Stay At Asm - I Have Never Stayed At A Value Resort And Am Wondering How It Is And If Anyone Ever Was In This Situation.

You might get more response to this on the Disney Resorts board. Good Luck!

We've stayed at deluxes, moderates, and the values - and we have had a great time each stay!!! We've only stayed at the All Star Movies (3 times) and Pop Century twice (we'll be staying at Pop Century in a few weeks again!)

My youngest DD absolutely loves All Star Movies - especially the 101 Dalmations area! We stayed in Love Bug once and 101 Dalmations twice! We were always a short walk to the food court/bus stop area, and never heard our neighbors!!! The pool was fine and not crowded at all! (Although the times we stayed were in Dec and Oct)

Our stays at Pop Century have been wonderful too!!! We were in the 60s bldg - the one with Mowgli & Baloo - overlooking the kiddy pool! We never heard anything inside our room, and it was a short walk to the food court/bus stop area! Even my teenagers loved this hotel!! Pool was great!!! We stayed here last Dec again, in the 50s w/Lady & Tramp! And from outside our room, we saw the fireworks show!!

The hotels are both really nice, bus service was fine for us, and the pools are great (no slides though). Food court was pretty good too! I think your kids will have a wonderful time no matter which hotel they're at! (In Dec, 2002, we stayed at the Grand Floridian - I've always dreamed of staying there and it was so pretty at Christmas time!! Anyway, DD wanted to at least go visit All Star Movies - and of course we did!!)

In a few weeks, just my youngest DD and I will be heading to Disney for a "Mom & Me" trip!! Although I am looking forward to spending some quality time with Allison, it will be different without the whole family there!

Enjoy your trip - and enjoy spending time with your children at the "Happiest Place On Earth"!!!!!!

You also may want to post on the Family board, if you are interested in advice on how to handle this trip.

I think that staying in a new place would be a good change! The kids will be excited to have friends along, too. Being at the same resort will be the easiest thing for you.

Best of luck & happy planning! :)
