First Trip - what not to forget

This is what I can add after our first trip:
A coffe pot - could not find coffee at the FT before 7:30am UGH
Bug Spray- I have been camping for several years and have never seen tham that big.
Ear Pulgs - the @#$% :scared1: Frogs were so bad that even the noise from my A/C did not dround them out.

I'll hav'ta agree with ya on the coffee, :thumbsup2
But Al is right,,enough beer will fix the bug and frog problem.

So was the trip worth a hoot ?

Born to Fish - We did have a good time. Learned a lot about camping at Disney. (Definately much different than we are used to.) Will we go back ? TBD

Ohmygosh yes the frogs! They weren't too bad around our actual site but when we walked just right around (a few sites from us) to the comfort station in the 1400 loop WOW the frogs were deafening! I can't imagine if we'd had our site right next to that- I'd have a hard time sleeping if we'd been right there! (we were at 1447) We had ducks swimming around us (LOL) but only heard one frog right there- but it was mighty loud with tons of frogs in unison (sorta) near the comfort station. I mean WOW it was loud. I had to yell there to talk to my kids right next to me. LOL

You mean there are people that going camping without coffee and a coffee pot? :scared1:

I remember one ill fated boy scout camping trip where someone forgot to load the coffee onto the trailer. Needless to say, once that fact was discovered, somebody was off to the nearest Walmart to get coffee. The person(s) loading the trailer were severely chastised later for such an egregious error.

I forgot coffee on our last trip during MDW and could not believe I couldn't get a cup on property until 7:30...Ugh!

We took very little cooking equipment on our trip in April, and my DH didn't even want to bring coffee making supplies, as he was always used to staying in the resorts where coffee is just a short stroll away in the hotel. Needless to say, after reading all the advice here on the DIS, I convinced him to take his supplies (I don't drink coffee), and he was happy that he did. We used an electric teapot to boil the water, then he has a french press coffee pot that he always takes on Boy Scout trips. He is so not used to having electricity when camping! It sure makes it easier!;)

Were you staying in the 2000 loop? That's where we were, site 2018 Wed thru Sun, and the frogs were amazingly loud in the new "frog pond" next to the comfort station. We also were shocked at the size and number of mosquitoes. We have been to FW many times and have never seen them like that! I hope you enjoyed your trip anyway! We had a few minor incidents, but overall a great time!
