First Trip w/ Kids, Restaurant Help!

We bring breakfast foods and a lot of snacks with us. If we want breakfast in the park, we do as others have suggested and eat a light breakfast at the hotel first, ride things for a few hours, and then get breakfast in the park somewhere before the switch to the lunchtime menu. Riverbelle Terrace is a really good breakfast choice, especially with kids. My boys also like the breakfasts at Tomorrowland Terrace, but they are more fast food style.

Pizza Port is quite good for the pasta and salad. Wouldn't bother with the pizza even without lactose intolerance.

Plaza Inn is very good for the fried chicken. My boys are happy to get the adult portion to share, and then we just get them waters.

Goofy's Kitchen or Minnie's are fine character meal choices. The food is nothing special at Minnie's but certainly satisfies kids' tastes, and the character interaction is great. It's also kind of exciting to have a character meal actually in the park.

If you would rather stay on the go, there are plenty of snack choices to satisfy kids. My boys like the corn dogs and find them to be special since they don't get them often. They also love the ice cream bars, churros, popcorn, and many of the treats available in the candy shops.

My DD4 has a sensory processing disorder and only eats certain textures of foods.. So finding foods for her to eat in the parks takes a lot of pre-planning. She absolutely loved the PCH grill in PP hotel because they have the make your own pizza option for children. They bring them out the dough and toppings, they make it however they want..then they get to take it to the wood oven to be cooked. The waitress gave my DD a Mickey Chef pin and she thought that was the greatest thing ever!! She still talks about it and wants to do it again this upcoming trip. Storytellers offers this option as well.
Other must do's for us are...Plaza Inn for chicken. I order the fried chicken plate ( Yummo!!) and share it with DD4. There are 3 pieces, so there is plenty for both of us. Also, Rainforest Cafe in DTD. We ask for a seat by the animatronics or fish tank. This keeps DD well entertained while waiting for food. There are plenty of food options for kiddos there.
And as PP's have mentioned:Riverbelle Terrace ( we do at least 2 trips there each trip)Coke Corner, Taste Pilots and Award Weiners. This trip we are trying Carnation Cafe and possible Blue Bayou. Good luck on your trip. The children will LOVE it!!

Therevare some grocery stores in the area that can deliver to your hotel. I believe one of them is Vons.

Yes, I had groceries delivered to the hotel. First delivery is free. Google Von's Safeway.

$50 is the minimum order, but $50 of snacks will save you $200 in the park.

Water bottles, juice boxes, etc. All that stuff you can't pack in your suitcase. Also cereal and milk and paper bowls and plastic spoons. This made a great snack back in the room. Anda loaf of bread and pb&j.

My kids just don't appreciate the food in the park!

These are so many great tips! I'll have to get Vons delivery for sure. That's a great tip about PCH grill and being able to make your own pizza
