We arrived at noon and our room was ready!!! We were in a one bedroom on the 2nd floor, right next to the elevator. Great view of the quiet pool. My teens thought it was too quiet, but the adults liked the quietness. At first we thought we would miss the monorail, but really enjoyed the boat ride to the MK. I did a small add-on at BCV figuring we can go there every couple of years.
My DB and family and 2 other families were with us, but stayed in the Lodge. They were so happy - loved the hotel, glad I chose it.
I can't wait to go back, but when we return in July, we have a studio booked, and I have a feeling it will be our last studio trip - the one bedroom was phenemonal!

That sounds like the same area where we were when we had 1 bedroom last November, except we were on the third floor.

It's very peaceful, which is something I appreciate when on vacation.

What did your DB think of your 1 bedroom compared to his hotel room? I'll bet that he was impressed.

Thanks for the report!

:)

Regina - my DB was overwhelmed! He kept walking around, saying "This is so big!!" He was definitely impressed and if it weren't for the fact that they just bought a condo in Sanibel, I think they would have bought DVC. He even had me take them to the BCV models to see what they looked like! He thought I made a great decision buying into DVC. (and so do I!)
PS He did get a chuckle out of the kitchen, since he knows there's no way I would cook on vacation!!!

It's always fun to see the reaction of friends/family who have never seen a DVC unit. It's always the same, they walk in, their eyes open wide, their mouths fall open, and the next word is "WOW!":D

We'll have two "newbies" with us this coming Christmas/NYE at OKW. (We'll save our VWL for ourselves, LOL.)

To me, the sole function of the kitchen is to keep the drinks cold. I may have to break down and (warning, offensive 4 letter word is about to be used) cook this time around. ;)

Have a good one!:D

Regina,

If I recall correctly, the phrase you used for your next trip was the intent to heat up some food. Careful.....that could start you on that slippery slope towards spending your whole vacation cooking, cleaning and laundry! :D
