Hi, I am new the the forum. My BF and I just planned our first trip to Disney World (I'm reallly excited!). We're going Feb. 24-Mar. 3. I've never been to Florida before and I am wondering what to expect, weather-wise. Should I pack pants or stick to summer gear? (It's hard to think of summer weather when it's -15 here today!) Is February a rainy month? How did you guys deal with the transition from winter to warmer in terms of bringing winter gear to the airport? (I really don't want to lug my heavy coat around.)

Thanks! :wave2:

Hi! Welcome to the Dis.

I have been in March and I found it chilly some days and quite warm others. A good way to figure things out is by using www.wunderground.com and check out their 'trip planner' area. You enter the dates you are planning to travel, and the place you are going to visit. They will show you the highs, lows and the general weather (and more!) for the last bunch of years. It's quite a handy site.

As far as my coat and winter boots, I left them in my car, and had a thinner jacket and a big sweater that I wore on the plane. I used the sweater in the evenings at Disney when it got cold.

Have fun planning and enjoy your trip!

We just came back and we left our winter coats and boots in the car and wore sweaters and light jackets to the plane (can still be cool at night and early in the morning so you may need them at WDW )in late feb a afternoon shower is common but not realy rainy we bring dollar store rain ponchoes with us every day ( in a butt pouch or small backpack )by late feb you should be abble to ware summer gear most days but some days can still be cool light jackets and sweaters may be needed ( The ones you wore to the plane)

Evenings will be cool for sure but it will no doubt be lovely during the day. Keeo an eye and pack for everything!
