First trip to HRH - Need advice

We are taking our first trip to HRH in May. Can you make reservations at City Walk restaurants prior to leaving? We always do ADR's at Disney and I'm not sure of how soon I should book. Any great tips aout the hotel?

you can make reservations ahead of time at the resorts. i'm not sure about the restaurants at citywalk. i really wouldn't see the need as with disney. disney is hard to just walk right up and get a quick table but i haven't had a problem in citywalk. if you plan on doing the premiere restaurants at the resorts though, i would go ahead and book depending on when you are going and you have a specific day you want to go. one of the things i love about universal unlike disney, is that concierge will make reservations for you once you book even if you aren't staying club level.

as for HRH. i loved it there and am planning another trip back. you didn't say if "we" included kids or their ages. HRH is full of energy and my kids definitely loved atmosphere and pool. there was music all the time and they loved getting ice cream and going for a late night swim. at nights they had hula hoop contests and other stuff for the kids and a live band at the pool. the rooms are really nice too and the resort is so close to the parks. for me, the only down side to HRH is that the pool is not very deep so my legs were either tired of squating to stay under the water or i was scraping my knees. you will love it!
