First trip to DL - have ??? about evening shows

After deciding to take a cruise on the Wonder, I convinced my DH to arrive a few days early in order to spend some time at DL. We will be at DL on March18 and 19. We also will be coming back to DL on March 27 after the cruise. Since we have never been there I want to make sure we are able to see all of the nightime shows but I'm unsure which order I should try to see them. We will be there during Spring Break so I know it will be really busy. I'm leaning towards buying the picnic for WOC because I'm concerned that we will have to give up too much precious time to make it over to get the fastpasses. We will have early entry on Saturday, March 19. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd go for the WoC Picnic for sure, then you don't have to stress about waiting in line for the FP, especially during Spring Break and on the weekend. I'd buy them now since they are limited and could sell out.

The picnics themselves are decent, nothing great but for the price and convenience it's completely worth it. I thought the food would be served hot but that's not the case, they are cold. Still tasty though.

We recently did the Picnic and I was very happy with the price ($16US) and we got in the Blue Section and we got there early enough to stand against the rail and had a great view of the show.

As for the other shows such as Fantasmic! and Remember ... Dreams Come True, you'll have to get there early if you want a good spot for viewing. This is mostly for Fantasmic. You can get a good spot for the fireworks much easier.

Try for the fireworks your first night. Since they are subject to cancellation "due to wind at higher elevations", you will want to try to see them as early in your trip as possible in case they are cancelled and you need to try again.

Just to let you know, the line to get WoC FP is really never more than 5 min, even during busy times. If you are there a little before DCA's rope drop (like 9:45ish), you can get a Blue WoC FP without much waiting at all. Although, I have done the picnic and enjoyed it.

I second the picnics....

as for the other two shows, i would not try and do fantasmic or fireworks on the same night as WOC
