Wow what a lovely surprise :yay: You will have a fantastic time as you will be there to see Disney at Christmas which is magical :santa:

Remember it will be cold so be prepared - although as you come from Aberdeen you will be well prepared for the cold :rotfl:

Have great fun planning :thumbsup2

Congratulations and a wonder surprise from DH :goodvibes

Have a look at the trip reports as a few have combined trips to Paris and Disneyland Paris :goodvibes

while I have never been to Disneyland Paris...I have been to paris...definitely try the croisontts (sp?) with the chocolate in the middle---do not remember what they are called but boy were they good! Also try their "armpit" bread. They call it this because it is so long...people carry it home btwn their arms (it has paper covering) but it is really good bread.
I am hoping to get back this Oct with a friend. She has to go over for work so I might get the chance to tag along with her.

Pan au Chocolat and a Baguette. They also do lovely Crepe's (rolled up pancakes with fillings).

My advice would be to buy a travelcard and use public transport as much as possible especially the RER (regional train) and the metro (underground). If you get a Carte orange for zones 1-5 (Paris is 1, Disney is 5) it only costs €32,10 (£20) and it will last you from the tuesday you go until the sunday. For the last two days you can buy a mobilis for €14,60 which will give you unlimited day travel.

As you're going for the week I recommend spending half the time in Paris. It really is a beautiful city.

I'll share a little Paris secret with you, if you go to the Gallaries Laffeyete store (giant department store behind the opera house - bit like a French Harrods!) keep going up the escalators to the very top floor. Up there you can go outside and you are on the rooftops of Paris. It is probably the best view in Paris and it's free! Here's a picture I took of my girlfriend up there:

You lucky thing, what a fantastic birthday present.:cheer2: :cheer2: Have a great time!!
