Just finished planning our 6 night stay at Pop Century Resort for my gf and I first trip to Disney World in June. We are Disneyland vets because we live nearby and love the original vibe to the place. That said we know Disney World is a whole new beast and am sure we are going to love it. We got a great deal on the room with an ap discount although the plane tickets were rather steep at $740. We also figured that we would get the premiere pass because we going to get a Disneyland ap anyway. That way we can put the price of a premium on payment plans and pay the difference btw the two up front. I can't wait!

I hope you have a great time, WDW is a very large place. Make sure you book any dinner reservations as soon as possible.

Enjoy!!

Welcome to the DIS. :grouphug:

Enjoy your trip. I know we want to plan a trip to DL sometime, but we just can't get enough of WDW. Someday we will get there. I am excited to visit Walt's original dream someday.

I agree with PP. Set up an itinerary & book some ADR's. You will have a magical time! BTW, we love Pop Century. :thumbsup2 Have fun. :goodvibes

Hi Jumpman,

I am similar to you and am a current DL AP. You mentioned that you were going purchase the premier pass, but still do the monthly payment plan for the DL AP part, and just pay in full for the difference. Could you elaborate on this? Did someone at DL say this is ok to do? Or would you just renew your current AP and then "upgrade" to the premier by paying the difference?

I am very excited right now, because we just booked our first trip also, and although we have flights and hotel (DVC) taken care of, the price for park tickets for a week was quite daunting!!

Thanks!

Hey, Welcome! You'll have a blast. I hope to take DD to DL. Yes, airfare is atrocious. Actually, right now, you are only paying $30 more pp than I would have to if I booked right now for October -- and I'm in Ohio! I can fly to CA cheaper than FL right now. Weird. Take a water bottle with you...you will be very warm in the FL summer and will need lots of hydration. Cups of water are free at Counter Service and don't forget a good, sweatproof sunscreen.
