Me and my girlfriend will be going to universal in october for fright night, and IOA. We are thinking about staying 2 or 3 nights. But were very unsure where to stay and buy tickets. Would it be better to buy everything individual, or get one of the packages from some where?

We are on a budget, any information would help greatly.

IF YOUR ON A BUDGET, SHOP AROUND why not try and get a package if its ur 1st trip then everything is sorted

You have a bit of time to work with. Why not price it all out and see what works best for you? For my trip this week, the AAA discount and buying separately was most cost effective. Someone else on here booked a package and and that was the cheapest for her dates. For my trip later this month, the annual passholder rate worked out best.

If you're OK with going off-site to eat, parking your own vehicle and taking your own luggage, you can save a lot of money. Otherwise, be prepared, everyone has their hand-out for tips and a chicken sandwich will cost you $14.00, a bowl of oatmeal will run you $6.75 and a bowl of cornflakes costs $5.25. Better budget better than we did!

Im going to start looking around for tickets and hotels. Any one know any good places? Im also going to take a look at packages, where a good place to put one together?

For us it was cheapest to order the tickets from the Universal Website, buy 2 days get 3 free, plus kids tickets free!!! Then book the room from the Universal Website, punching in AAA in the discount code box. We chose Hard Rock Hotel. this is our first trip, so no experience, just have been researching here and reading everything I can find.

We will be bringing breakfast food and snacks for the room, bringing bottled water, sharing some meals, and eating some meals at the nice sit-down restaurants.

It would be easier on your budget to stay off-site. However, most people recommend staying onsite for the front of the line privilages. I'm not sure how busy it will be the days you will be staying.

Have a great trip!

Im also military and florida residents....any discounts thier???also where do you find the discount codes for universal website when you put packages together?

Put in MIL in the code box for military discounts.

I have a web page of the offsite hotels.
http://www.nogodforme.com/offsite.htm
Check out the Bestwestern, the Amerisuites, or any of the others in the page. Go online to their site directly and check rates. You can walk from them, although it will take you 20 minutes. But then you can get buzzed and not worry about driving.

I haven't looked, but I'm pretty sure the onsite hotels are sold out, especially the RPR. Everyone books them for HHN.
