First trip KID FREE!!!

Of all the places we could have chosen to go, we chose the Happiest place on Earth to celebrate 13 years of being together total and 11 years of Marriage (5/14)!!!

This will be our first kid free vacation in a VERY long time. We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. We are super excited to be able to take the parks in on our own time without having to worry about who needs to go potty or whos hungry or whos grumpy! (of course we do love taking our kids too)


Any suggestions on things we should definitely check out sans kids while we are there???

The biggest piece of advice I have is to just slow down. As a kid, the trips I took with my dad were of the you-can-sleep-when-you-get-home variety, but what I learned honeymoon and vacationing with my hubby since then is how much I love just taking in the details. There's so many nooks and places to explore, really fine tuned theming to take in just walking around the parks, we really love the chance to slow down. We still get up for EMH and do the biggies, but then we like to just sort of mosy around enjoying each other's company.

As far as specific things to check out:

• One of our favorite things is to spend some time lounging at the Grand (it's just so pretty!) then taking the beachfront walkway over to the poly for food/coffee
• Check out the glass blowers in MK, seriously cool!
• Walk around the back parts of World Showcase. Morocco, China, Japan, France, and the UK are my personal favorites to explore, Morocco in particular just keeps going, pretty awesome!
• Depending on where you're staying, watching fireworks from the beach or your room can be really fun
• Go out for drinks after dinner. One of our favorites is Minzer's Lounge at the GF because of the combo of great live music, comfy chairs, a nice view, and the potential for ordering a snack if we want dessert but there's plenty of places you could try (if you're a DVC member or staying at the Contemporary the Top of the World lounge is also a great choice!)
