Well, we were finally able to make our ressies today sept 6-15th first up is 4 nights at WLV and then the balance at OKW. Hubby isn't thrilled about the idea of a split stay..I hope it works out good or I will get the "I told you so's"

I requested a "lake view" at WLV..is that possible? I wanted any floor but #5 those balconies don't look very nice in the pics(least compared to the others)

requested building 23 at OKW. I was trying to get close to the boarding the boat and watching it, the main pool and a good view prefering not trees or tons of gold course...how did I do? I requested top floor

also trying to find out discounts for the boats, bicycles, etc.. didn't they have some type "fun pass' that included all that stuff?

We are so excited! Now onto Dining ressies

BTW when i called everything DVC was available for my dates except my first choice which was BWV BW view, I could have had BCV if i wanted, but we just did that and wanted to try something different. so you can book stuff in less than 5 weeks depending on when that time is!

I'm not sure if "lake view" is possible or not at VWL, but I would think the higher the floor, the more likely that would be.

As for requesting a specific building at OKW.... That is a SURE way to not get what you want. Since you wanted to be close to Hospitality House, that should be your request. There is no guarantee that ANY of the units in building 23 would be vacant on the day and time you arrive, much less a unit the size you are booked into. Buildings 11, 12, 13, 14, 62, 63, 64, 16, 15, 23,24, 25, and 26 are all VERY easy access to HH. Also, you have requested a building that has handicapped accessible villas, so you COULD be VERY dissapointed if you happen to get a handicapped room with lower beds, roll-in shower and no tub as well as lower counters.

If it was me, I would call MS back and change my request to "near Hospitality House".

Here is a map of OKW for you to look at.

I agree with Diane, asking for specifics at OKW will set you up for a letdown. There are only so many rooms in each bldg. and the possibillity of getting that specific bldg. arent very good odds. I would call back as Diane stated and ask for something near the HH.

As for VWL, asking for lakeside would be more likely but there are so many trees that a lakeview is not that great. We have found that after going to VWL several times, luck of the draw has worked well for us. Also, the earlier you arrive, the better the view tends to be.

We dont mind switching resorts, and bellhop can handle the bags for you so you dont miss part of your day in the World. If you are driving, you can put the luggage in your car, drive over to OKW early, so by 10 am, let them know you are there, this may help with getting a bldg. you want. Switching resorts isnt for everybody. I dont mind it on a long stay but a short stay, it is a little annoying.

Enjoy!

We don't mind switching resorts at all usually stay the weekend nights using the AP discount. Hope you have a great vacation.

I will be ok as I don't have my heart set on any one place at OKW..just thought I would give it a try at 23..thanks for the heads up on the HA I don't want that.
This trip is for experimenting and planning for future trips
