We just returned from our first trip home to BLT! It was wonderful!
Due to a death in the family we had to move the first two nights of our trip and tack them on the end because of a funeral - they could not keep us at BLT for those two nights so they moved us to Kidanai Village.
We checked into BLT at 8pm on Monday. Our room wasn't ready because they forgot to put it in the system for cleaning so the manager gave us a $200 resort credit. Also, it is our tradition to eat at Chef Mickey's our first night in Disney but because of having to move the nights around, I could not get a reservation at Chef Mickey's that Monday, because of the inconvenience of the room, the manager called up there and got us right into the restaurant. We didn't get into our room until 10pm but felt they did more than they could to make it up to us and we were very happy with the customer service.
Everything else was beautiful. We loved the resort - with the exception of the locks on the bathroom doors but everything else more than makes up for it!!!!
We moved over to Kidani on the last two nights. This is also a beautiful resort with lots for the kids. However, it is very quiet and we love the more bustling Magic Kingdom area. A terrific resort, just not for us.
