Help!!!
We are planniing our first trip to Disney (and probably our only) next fall. Thinking of either Sept. or Oct. of 2002.
I am having a really hard time deciding where to stay.
I know we want to stay on property but the only resorts I can find that will accomodate us all (5 total) are the deluxe or the home away from home.
Our group will include
MOM and Dad
16 yo F
13 yo F
10 yo F
What suggestions can you all give me as to where to stay that won't completely break the bank and which resorts have big enough rooms that we won't all be falling all over each other.
Thanks
Jeanne

Hello!
You might try posting this over on the resorts board. You would get a great response over there, I'm sure.
I've only been to Disney once, so I cant help too much.
Hope this helps.. :)

You can stay at Dixie Landings with 5 in a room. Some of the rooms there have trundle beds.

We just got back from Port Orleans Riverside with our family of 5. Reasonably priced and a very nice resort. Our large 8 year old loved sleeping on the trundle bed. I think it would be fine for a 10 year old

Keep your eye on the Mousesavers discount board. We are also a family of 5 and originally had reservations at PO but then saw FW cabin for about $15 less a night once you take into account you have to pay $15 a night extra for the trundle bed. Having the full kitchen will also mean a big savings. We are going this Oct. so maybe next year there will also be a discount on the Cabins. The cabins also have more space and a seperate bedroom, YEAH!!!!!

A family of that size would enjoy the FW cabins. Lots of room to spread out, and a full kitchen and maid service, too. Plus, FW has lots of activities for kids!!

You may want to post this question on the camping board, you'll get lots of info about the FW cabins there.

Let me see -- 2 teenage girls and one preteen girl....

Let me suggest to you that 2 bathrooms are a MUST or you will never make it out of your hotel room and into the parks in the morning! If you can't get a good price on a cabin - I would suggest 2 adjoining rooms at the All Stars over 1 Deluxe room. Watch the Mousesavers website for a good discount code. This year it is possible to get the All Star rooms for $49 + tax at the AP rate and with a few other codes. Keep your eyes open and when you see a good deal for the dates you want to vacation - call immediately!

I agree with 2 rooms at an all sports--we're just a family of 4, but we went with my parents, and adjoing rooms were wonderful!! then you would have plenty of space!
