First trip back in 3 years!!

This is going to be our first trip back to Disney in three years!!We have previously stayed at POFQ and CBR! We're movin on up to AKL , but with standard view. Can anyone recommend a good room or area close to food and bus-stop. We have 2 boys,2 and 4. I don't want to be carting everything around for miles.
Also, chances of an upgrade to pool view in September? Should I ask ahead of time or do you think they will offer automatically during slow season.

I have only stayed in Savannah view so I can't help you on a room location for a standard view. I would say your chances of an upgrade are pretty good from everything I have read and experienced (we were upgraded to a deluxe last year ). You will love this resort. It is gorgeous.

Be prepared to accept whatever room you get, BUT, we were upgraded to pool view when we checked in. I can't remember - it was either May or September (sorry - it was about 2 years ago). You might try requesting 'best view available'. This doesn't always do much, but could get you that upgrade you are hoping for. Good luck!
