First Trip as DVC Members!

We just closed this week and already booked at Bay Lake for late July! I'm sure this will be a very entry level question, but what is the process for DVC Members to get Magic Band? We haven't decided about annual passes vs. regular tickets for this trip, but just wondering how the Magic Band process works with DVC?

Sorry if this is a basic question - perhaps the excitement of finally owning is clouding my judgement!

Congratulations and welcome home!

In my October trip my magic bands were linked to my reservation. When I checked it My Disney Experience, I could link my tickets and book fast passes. Some have said their magic bands were mailed to them. But mine were presented to me with a grand flourish in the lobby of the resort.

You should be able to see your reservation in My Disney Experience even though you are staying on points. That said, I think there are some technical difficulties with MDE right now. I'm having some problems seeing my resort reservation.

it was so easy. I got an email asking me if I would like magicbands. I said yes. Later I got an emai saying I could personalize my magic bands. we picked out are colors. Weeks later a nice email with a little video explaining them. Later I got a nice box in the mail with again simple instructions etc. I bought all my passes at my local triple AAA office. I went on to the site and linked those park passes to my magicbands. by simply putting in the codes. Later I also linked a credit card to them for purchasing and even picked out fast passes out weeks ahead of time. I downloaded the Disney app and everything was linked to that. It was great walking through the park. looking at my phone, seeing our schedules etc. Also able to change fastpasses times etc
