We are leaving on Saturday for our first trip as DVC members. After spending large amounts of $$$ for normal hotel rooms at WDW, my wife decided we should go see a DVC presentation. I was reluctant, but 6 months later, I am thinking it was a great investment.
We are staying at the OKW in a 2-BDRM from 12/7-12/11 (it's only 6 days away YEAHHH!!!) :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Any tips or advice that anyone thinks we should know?

Thanks for your help in advance!!!

Take candles and bubble bath for the jacuzzi tub!;)

See you there--we leave tomorrow!

You should really enjoy yourself. The two bedroom at OKW is outstanding. What are the two of you going to do with a two bedroom? Dare I ask!! I am only joking, you must have others in your party?? It is a great time of year to be at WDW as you probably know and OKW is great. Enjoy;)

Actually, it was just to be my wife and I, but she wanted to take her mother and a friend of her mothers who have never been to WDW. Not a bad deal, they pay for the airline tickets, we pay for the room.
I hear there are not alot of people this time of the year at the parks?

The parks are beautiful this time of year with all the decorations for Christmas. The Candlelight Processional, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and the Osborne Lights are a few suggestions you might want to consider. Don't forget to take them on the boat ride down town from the dock there at OKW, it is a great ride, leaves every 20 minutes starting at noon. If you feel up to a walk there is also a nice walk from OKW starting at the South Point area to the West Side of DD. You can eat lunch outside at Olivia's, it should be nice enough to do that. I would stay away from Olivia's at dinner it gets a little noisy in there at dinner time. Have a great time, and welcome home.

Have a great trip! We just got back from a 2 bedroom at OKW and it exceeded our expectations. Don't miss the CP and Osborne lights.:D

Have a great trip. We're leaving for the world on Tuesday 12/3 to 12/13. Do try to do the Candlelight Processional (maybe you can do a dinner pkg...but it may be too late to get ressies)!

Nope, not too late for the CP dinner package if you are flexible. We got one this morning for this week. Also was able to book a fantasmic package today for next week.

But, I think if you want one of those princess breakfasts--you're pushing your luck!

The Fantasmic Package is where you purchase a diner at a certain restaurants at MGM then you get special seating at the Fantasmic show

The CP is better and is only offered during the Christmas season. It is a choir of about 300 plus readings from famous people. I will never forget my mother in laws comment about it. She said she thought she died and went to heaven. It comes with a dinner at a number of the restaurants at Epcot. The FP is offered all year long.

You will love OKW and the 2 bedrooms are devine! We too will be at OKW from Dec7th-14th..... hope to see you there......

You gotta find some LIME GREEN RIBBONS to wear!!!!!!!

pkilgore...the lime green ribbons are worn by some DIS board members while at WDW. Some put it on their packs, others on their clothing. It is a sign to identify a fellow DIS poster...and of course an indication that someone wants to be recognized as such and is probably willing to talk to anyone who posts on these boards.

I'll try and find some Lime gree ribon prior to leaving on Saturday.

It's really hard to work this week, I can not wait until Saturday
