*~* First Trip: 59 Years In The Making *~* 11/25 - PTR is now closed!

I've hit a little snag....

We have a busy Hollywood Studios day since it's our only day there. We have a pre-RD breakfast at Hollywood & Vine, Lunch at Sci-Fi, and a late dinner at Boma (9pm). My problem is we've NEVER seen Fantasmic!!! All 3 trips so far and we've never watched it! Trying to decide if it's something we should do this time... I really want to, but that means all rides need to be done by 6:00 pm at the very latest.

If we do decide to do it, we'd need to do F! 6:00, then the Osborne Lights, and still get to Boma by 9:00. That's going to be super tight... I suppose I could push Boma back to 9:30 perhaps? Or skip F!? The Osborne Lights are a must and so is Boma.....

Hmmm....

L. Mama Melrose's F! package @ 2pm

This is what we are doing since we want F! but also want the other meals. What about Lunch at MM or H&V then a late dinner at 745 at Sci fi?

Subbing in!

Y'all have some great ARDs! I read your TR and I think you've got me hooked for Hollywood and Vine! Emma loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates so that should be fun! Hope we can get it for an early breakfast! :thumbsup2

We haven't seen Fantasmic either. I'm not sure we'll get it in this trip either. Oh well, there's always the next one! ;)

Welcome aboard!

H&V is great! The characters ended up coming around twice and had GREAT interaction! There's a little "dance party" every hour-ish. They play the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse song and bring CMs and the characters out to dance with the kids! It was great - Ava and Levi LOVED it.

Starting to make our touring plans! We've never followed a TP before, or even really had a plan at all - and all three times we've gone to WDW we've found ourselves standing in the middle of the park wondering where to go and what to do next... This time, I want a plan! We'll have a 2yr old and a 4yr old, so we'll of course be flexible, but it's nice to have something mapped out!

Looks great!! :thumbsup2 Do you figure your little ones will sleep in their strollers for a chunk of the party or are they night owls?? We're hoping the twins will sleep come their "bedtime".

:rolleyes1 Sure hope you can get that Be Our Guest ressie.......we're hoping for one too!!! (but I did book a back up just in case.....lol)

What I would REALLY love is that they'd really nap from about 3-5 when we go back from our break.... Then I know there would be zero meltdowns. That is highly doubtful though... We may swim or I may make them lay down and at least watch a Disney movie....

They are pretty much nightowls, but they will fall asleep in their stroller if tired enough. It's almost 10pm and they are in the playroom right now - bedtime is laughable at this point :rotfl: (bad mom of the year, I know).

Planned naps.....good luck with that!! ;) :rotfl: Shyann (one of the twins) tends to nap every afternoon....but if I count on that on vacation, I think we're in for a rude awakening.....lol We're keeping the girls in strollers at the parks & hopefully they'll just take naps in that. By the time we loaded them up in the rental & headed back to the resort (midday) the whole nap thing would be out the window......so we're just planning on staying. The good thing about the time we're going is the shorter hours....so really, the parks aren't open very late. (for our situation, is a great thing) The only late night we'll have IS the party night....but we're not doing any park time prior to the party......so hopefully the girls won't stress & meltdown.

Kids kinda have their own schedule......so no judging here. We try really hard to get our kiddos on "our" schedule & then keep to a routine.....but we really have to do that with the twins since they're autistic. I look forward to them going to bed for the night. I get about 2 hrs of peace & quiet before I drop from exhaustion....... :rotfl2:

Your TP looks great!!

We do not normally have a plan either. We will have a general plan for meal times and possibly nap although last trip DD napped in her stroller but that is it really maybe next trip I will make a plan but I like the go with the flow plus we always leave the park if its too crowded for us.

We are on zero scheduling at home - we are "freestyle-ers" - lol. However, because this is my mom's only trip to WDW most likely, I want to get in as much as possible!! Plus, like I mentioned - it always seems like we stand in the hub wondering where to go next! I want to have a game plan with the understanding that I'm sure at some point we WILL get off schedule and we WILL ride this instead of that and we WILL have a few meltdowns along the way :rotfl: I would love for them to nap - and last time we went at age 18m and just shy of 3 - they both fell asleep in the strollers at least once during each day for a good hour or more. On our MVMCP day, I'd love a "real" nap, but realistically - I'm sure it won't happen!

We kinda "freestyle" it during the summer with the other kids.....but the twins need to stay on track or we do have meltdowns!!

Worked our our plans for our only Hollywood Studios day! We decided against Fantasmic this time. Even the picture of the dragon scared Ava, so I'm not sure how she'd react at the actual show... Depending on how the day goes, we can always add it back in if we want to! Kinda just a rough plan. DHS is one of those parks where I don't feel like we have to plan out every ride time to a "T" apart from TSMM.... I'm the only one who will ride RnR and the single rider line is always super fast. ToT we can FastPASS or wait in line under 20 minutes (we'll need to use childswap here).

6:15 Up!
7:15 Out the door, bus to DHS
8:25 Breakfast at Hollywood & Vine
9:45-1:20 Tour Park. Ride Toy Story Mania – get FP for later. Head down Sunset Blvd. area and ride Rockin Rollercoaster and Tower of Terror. See Beauty and the Beast Show. Go to Animation Courtyard. Watch Voyage of the Little Mermaid show and Playhouse Disney Live on Stage. Walk through One Man’s Dream and The Magic of Disney Animation (skip the show, enter through the back entrance/guest shop to see characters). Ride Studio Backlot Tour and Muppet Vision 3D. Play on Honey I Shrunk The Kids Playground if extra time available. Character Meet & Greets.
1:20 Lunch at Sci-Fi Dine In
2:45 Stake out a good parade spot
3:00 Disney/Pixar Countdown to Fun Parade
3:30-7:00 See Indiana Jones Stunt Show. Ride Star Tours and The Great Movie Ride. Play in the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground. Re-visit all favorite rides/shows. Character Meet & Greets.
7:00 Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights
7:45 If line is short, one more "night" ride of ToT
8:00 Leave park, bust to AKL
9:10 Dinner at Boma

Hey Amber!! Plans look great so far. Congrats on getting the package booked! :cool1: I think skipping Fantasmic is a good choice. That dragon is pretty scary!! :scared1: I make my ADRs on Monday!! Of course, I have a lot fewer to make than you did. :rotfl:

I did have *alot* of ADRs to make :rotfl: I really wanted to do Fantasmic, but I don't want it to scare Ava to death... She was scared on Pirates, and afraid of Lady Tremaine, so I'm not sure we are ready to take on the dragon yet!
