Hello

We are considering October and have a few questions would be myself, husband and two kids 6 and 4
We have neve been before and have a few questions
We obviously won't be doing the Halloween Horror Nights
What time does this start at and is it every night?
Both parks?
Are the scary things out during the day too?
Is express pass needed during October?

Thanks so much

They close the Studios early, about 5:00. Its on select nights, you'll need to check the calendar when it comes out but mostly its thurs - sun, with a couple of exceptions.

The scary things are covered and hidden, no worries there.

With Diagon Alley opening, you may need express passes. Normally HHN does not affect day time crowds but since the overall park attendance will be up you may need them. You can wait and see how crowded it is at the parks and buy them there if needed.

Do you plan on staying at an onsite resort? You'll have unlimited express pass if you do.

I think so what hotel would you recommend for younger kids?
It seems it is worth it for the express passes
How much of a discount do you get in October with an APH?

We've gotten really great rates in October but again with Diagon Alley opening it may be busier and the rates higher this year. Go ahead and make your reservation when you have your dates but call back periodically to see if the rate has gone down, they will adjust it to the new lower rate for you.

They're all great, we like Royal Pacific the best. :)

Oh, go check out resort/hotel area at universal's website and go to the resort thread here too, I'm sure you'll get lots of good advice and you'll see what rooms are booking for at the moment.

go to www.halloweenhorrornights.com for the schedule.
it was posted over a week ago.

first hhn will be on sept 19.
oct 15th begins hhn on wednesday nights.
thursdays are added to the schedule the second week of the event in sept
