First Timer Review With Pizza, Sushi, Desserts + Pics Love

Your packed lunches are too cute. I don't think I could ever do that but they look really good!!!

Tortuga Tavern - Magic Kingdom

After spotting the yummy nachos in Epcot Mexico, we were on the lookout for some tacos/burritos/nachos. We knew we were going to be at the Magic Kingdom the next day so I found this place that had burritos/nachos but alot of people said the place is random in hours and days.. I was hoping for the best.

Success! It's open! I just want to note there's a ton of seating here too...

We got 2 Chicken Burritos. They were $7.59 a piece. They are filled with Cilantro Rice and Black Beans. I'm very picky about toppings, so this place was great as they have their own toppings bar with lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, cheese, etc:

A little messy.. I know.. it wasn't me, I swear. :rotfl:

Here's my burrito with cheese, salsa and tomatoes added on top. They also give you little sour cream packets but I don't like that. Overall, pretty good. They were hefty and this will definitely fill you up for lunch.. but your burrito most likely will fall apart so get a fork too!

We also got the beef nachos to split, it just has cheese on top. I basically cleaned the cheese off the plate.

Beef Nachos: 7.29
2 Chicken Burritos: 15.18
Diet Coke: 2.59
Subtotal: 25.06
Tax: 1.63
Amount Due: 26.69

I admit this is a little too much for a lunch like this, but we had a craving.

Your packed lunches look really good, but I think I might have just gone back to the room to eat and hit the pool for some R&R :cool2:.

Sorry about the egg-rolls, but they do look really good.

Was the burrito hot? It looks a little on the cold side.

Your doing a great job on the reviews. Keep them coming, please:worship:

Looking forward to the next set of photos

This post is just some french fries. French fries were our go to snack if we needed to cool off in the AC for a few minutes. These were pretty standard and I think they're basically the same at all the park quick service places because they always tasted the same.

Here are some of our fries.. see they look the same.

Note that this quick service place had a topping salad bar so Matthew threw some mushrooms on top of the french fries.. he's sneaky. pirate:

French fries were good, can they ever be bad? Maybe, but these were decent fries. :)

Price: Around $3 (we would always just split 1)

Great updates and French Fries are more than worthy of their own dedicated post :goodvibes

Loving your reviews! You made me want to change one of my ressies and add 50's PT back in again, we love that place!

Your GG pics made me laugh...since we drive up I pack a little grocery bag and there is always peanut butter crackers and granola bars in it, they are great to have around when a snack attack comes over you

enjoying your reviews. Nice to see a good review of Via Napoli. Also I rarely see reviews of the mexican food at MK and it looks good but I still don't get that squirty cheese you have over in the USA :goodvibes:

I'm with you and I live here. I don't get why we use that stuff :confused3 other than it stays in a liquid form.

As I type this up, I'm waiting for my sushi delivery for lunch.. I love sushi, let's just get that out there! Sadly though Matthew hates it. But because he loves me, he agreed on going to Tokyo Dining after I promised him they would have some non-sushi options on the menu. :lovestruc

Tokyo Dining and Teppan Edo are in the same building.

Here's the building too:

When we walked in, it was crowded. There was kids sitting on the stairs all over that we couldn't get up. Kids, get off the stairs. :goodvibes:goodvibes

We had a reservation but the place was packed.
I was handed my buzzer and told to wait... it probably was close to 30 minutes.

OMG, let's go! It's us!

There are 2 menus, one for sushi and one for the regular menu:

Our waitress was Ayako. She was super cute and super nice. She brought out our hand towels... then we ordered.

I could tell Matthew was still unsure. :lmao:

I am very sweaty in this picture and just want to eat sushi.

First up for me: Miso Soup - Soybean Soup - $3.00
6081607876_411068420d_z.jpg

Like traditional Japanese, you don't get a spoon, you just "drink it". It was good. I think Matthew tried it and he was like this: :sad2::sad2:

Food is here!
Matthew got: Grilled N.Y. Strip Steak - Sirloin steak served with seasonal vegetables, steamed rice, and your choice of original Japanese sauce: teriyaki, ponzu or miso. - $27.95
6081072739_543b986d48_z.jpg

Overall, he thought it was "meh" and too much $ for the size. He was very hungry after this...

Ok, my turn. :cheer2:
I got:
Sushi Sampler - Tuna, Yellowtail, Shrimp and 2 pieces of California roll. - $9.50
6081609836_4e2a16d9dd_z.jpg

and 1 salmon roll, 1 tuna roll. I know I get boring rolls but I love them so much.

The people next to us saw what I ordered and said it looked good, and it was! It wasn't life ending omg nom nom noms sushi, but it was still decent quality sushi that I would eat right now if you gave it to me (please). One thing though, $6.50 is pretty expensive per simple roll...
6081072973_05d9d831ea_z.jpg

We didn't get dessert because nothing was really interesting to us..

Bill:
Miso soup: $3
Salmon Roll: $6.50
Tuna Roll: $6.50
Sushi Sampler: $9.50
Diet Coke: $2.95
Sirloin: $27.95
Subtotal: $56.40
Tax: $3.67
Total: $60.07 (not including tip)

The sushi looks fantastic! I might have to go by there when we are there for the F&W and try that out.

Thanks for the pictures and the reviews.

Keep them coming.
