To save time, can I tip the normal rate at check in time and give cash as I go for great service? Or phone cards?

Is the water at CC clear and really light blue? Like will I be able to see jelly fish or any fish for that matter?

For my carry on bag, can I bring in a 12pk of soda? Inside of course!! Can you freely walk around the ship with a can in hand?

well the tipping...At check in u cannot do this u have to do it on the ship... and Guest services is very busy first day ...
and u may want to tip more than the amount ......
so u can swing by guest services some time when u dont se to much going on.... the water is clear and u can see all kinds of stuff.. and yes u can carry soda on and walk around with it....

Yes, you can bring soda on board and walk around with can. In fact, they sell soda in cans, so won't look out of place at all. They'll even give you a glass of ice if you'd like (no charge).

You can charge tips at any time thru guest services on the ship (not at check in). Frankly, it is more work for the servers if you give small amounts of cash on a regular basis as they then have to keep track of it. Guest services is not busy except for the last day/night of the cruise. You might want to wait till at least mid way thru, then go and charge tips. You will get a form that makes it easier on the second to last night. Phone cards are a nice treat of a little "extra" especially if someone other than your regular server does something a little special.

DCL is great in that people are not walking around with their palms out waiting for tips. They'll never turn one down if offered, but the "expected" tipping is the envelope on the last night, the baggage porter, and a little for room service...also Palo (but there is a small built in tip there). Bar service has an automatic tip added (sodas not on package, smoothies, alcohol).
