Seven days away from our first trip to the World :cheer2: and have a few last-minute questions...

First, we've heard about passports for children to get stamped or something at World Showcase. How's that work and where do we find one? I think my DS6 would enjoy that. It sounds pretty cool.

Second, we have all our ADRs but aren't really sure how early we should arrive -- just in time for the ADR or earlier?

Thanks... 7 days and counting...

7 more days...how exciting for you! :cool1:

I think you can get the passports at Guest Services inside the park, but I'm not sure.

As for the ADR's, I would try to get there 10 to 15 minutes early. I have been 10 minutes late before and they still took us. It depends on the restaurant. If you are leaving the park to get to your restaurant, give yourself plenty of time.

Have a magical vacation!

Congrats on your first trip! You'll love it!

The Epcot Passport Kit can be found just about anywhere in Epcot. They have them in most of the shops. The kit includes a little book that looks like a passport. When you visit a country in World Showcase, you present it to a CM and they will sign it in their native language. It includes stickers from each country to place in the book and a big pin. It's just a fine thing to do. They cost $9.95 plus tax.

Here is a picture of one

I always try to be there about 15 to 20 minutes prior to my ADR.

Have a great trip!

I don't know if things have changed but a few years back my DD got similar passport books in the other theme parks as well. Another thing she enjoyed doing was collecting those penny pressings in each land and/or resort.

The passports are great... and in case you haven't heard every country in World Showcase has a childrens area! Besides getting the passport stamps, the kids can do a craft, make a mask, or color something and learn a little about the customs.

In the other parks I've seen books to collect pressed penny's or autographs but as far as I know only Epcot has the actual "Passport kits".

Have a wonderful trip!! And keep in mind there is so much to see and do in 4 "worlds" there is no way you can see it all --
so just relax, enjoy every minute and make lots of memories!
There's always next time!! ;)

I agree that the passport books are great for the kids. Just be sure to look closely or ask in each country where the Kidcot stations are. Last week, I heard several people questioning where they were. England's was especially hard to find for some reason, I think it was in the back of a store. Perhaps there is a list of where in each country the stations are, they are not always the most obvious.

For ADR's I would try to arrive 10 minutes before you time, but DON't worry If you are right on time, or even a FEW minutes late. Very frequently, you will not be seated until 5 or 10 minutes after your time anyhow!!!!!
