First timer planning to come home to BCV

We have been to Disney 12 times in 18 years. I have stayed at multiple hotels all around the park. We purchased BCV last September. The older goofees in the pack like walking into EPCOT and Studios. We are looking to book our first trip into BCV in late August. Looking for some suggestions on best rooms for EPCOT fireworks view.

Also MRS GOOFEEWANTTOBE wants to know if it is better to reserve the 1 bedroom because of the washer/dryer or is the studio acceptable with access to the laundry room? Our 16 year old goofee will be joining us as well.

Have even considered reserving both a 1 bedroom and a connected studio to allow the young goofee of 16 to spread his wings in his own room while the old goofees do the same.

Advice is always appreciated.

We've never asked for a particular view, but I wanted to point out that you're propbably only going to get a connected studio to a one bedroom if you book a 2 bedroom which is probably a few points cheaper than booking a 1 bedroom and a studio.

If I had a teen aged son and could aford it, I would book a 2 bedroom for the 3 of us, but I definitely would book at least a 1 bedroom, for sanity. (We're empty nesters, there wasn't DVC when we were raising sons. DVC came about when we already had one in college, not the time to buy a time share.)
The access to the laundry if you have a studio could be very easy, like on the same floor or you could be in a different wing on different floors. There's only one laundry room for all of the studios. I've done it, we most often book studios for just the two of us, but I've found that mornings around 6 AM is the best time.

We're just back from our first BCV trip and it was great - you will be so happy!

With 3 adults, I would definitely get the 1 BR over a studio. You will get the washer/dryer right there which is so convenient and you will be able to have a little private time and space as well, which I think all 3 of you will appreciate.

You can look here for ideas for location requests -- you would want a woods view on the side, I guess. We had pool view rooms so I can't speak to which rooms can see the fireworks or not.

I Think Your Best Bet Would Be Rooms 220 1br And 222 Studio Or 229 1br And 227 Studio The Same Rooms For The 3rd And 4th Floors And Only 529 And 527 On The 5th Floor. Those Should Give You The Best Fireworks Views, The Higher The Better, You Won't See The Entire Show But You'll Get The Higher Fireworks.
