We will be going to US/IOA for 2 days in December and would LOVE some suggestions.

On Wednesday, Dec. 15, our flight gets in at 9. We will head straight to the HRH, check in, and head to US. I'm sure it will be after 10 by the time we get there, missing an hour of prime riding time. Is there any particular order that we should start hitting the attractions, or just make our way around the park? We will have Express Pass, so that should help.

On Thurs, we plan to visit IOA, starting off with WWOHP. What is the best order to ride after that? We will be there until the park closes.

TIA for any advice you can give me!

I can't offer you specific advice but I have found the trip report threads in this forum very helpful. We went to UO in the summer and I don't think you really need a touring plan like Disney it's a lot more relaxing and the Front of the Line Access benefit for on-site guests will really help. The UO website also has some good info about each ride/attraction.

First, just let me say that going to Universal with hotel express passes is going to be SO different from any Disney trip you have ever taken. You mention missing a prime hour of riding time, but you know what, at Universal with FOTL it just doesn't matter! There is no 'order' to worry about. Just walk in the park at hit whatever strikes a fancy. Hard to believe, but that is how it works. It doesn't matter what order since you have express all day long for most all of the rides.

Next, for your second day it is a great idea to hit WWOHP at early entry. WWOHP is the exception to the rule since it is new and doesn't have express for FJ and Olivanders. After you are done there, just go whereever. Really isn't going to make a difference. If you think you might like to go on the water rides you could do those next, then head to your room/pool for a change of clothese and maybe a swim/lunch break. No need to spend the entire day at the park! You'll have express and get things done much faster than expected and since you're staying at a lovely resort that is so close by, go back and enjoy it as needed!

Have a great trip!

universal will be a piece of cake at that time with the onsite express pass. just go on whatever you want in whatever order makes sense to you. you will bang out universal in 4 hours. then to ioa, and you will bang out every ride other than harry potter before the end of the day. next day get up early and go on forbidden journey. then hear over to universal and go on rip ride rockit...awesome coaster.

Thank you all so much! I was hoping that we won't have to criss-cross the park from attraction to attraction. It will be much easier just going around in a circle. I'm so excited! The kids know we are going to Disney but they don't know I've added on the extra days at US!
