First timer needs clarity

Trying to sort out all the info I have been reading and I think I came up with a plan.
1) Arriving on Oct 12 (Sun) coming off a cruise
2) Considering staying at CB because 1) we really want to see both HP attractions so we shouldn't need Express Passes, since they don't accept them.
3) Park closes at 5PM because of party.
4) Will be able to get into park 1 hr early on Mon.
5) Get 2 day park to park tickets.

Am I on the right track? Any more helpful hints and/or suggestions? TIA

You seem to be pretty much in the same boat as me. I've been to US and IOA before, but have never stayed at one of the resorts.

I'm arriving at the end of Oct for 3 nights and doing 2 park days, both of which will be closing at 5 because of HH.

I'm doing a 2 day P2P just cause it seems to make the most sense since I have less park hours to work with and I'm also staying a CB cause its cheaper and I've never in my years of visiting US/IOA used Express Pass and have never had a problem and always seem to be out of the parks by 4:30ish anyway.

Your thoughts seem to be right on track ... cause they're pretty much the same as mine!

That plan sounds great to me. You're allowing for different things and still have the schedule worked out.
