Hello Everyone ! My first post here...

I am just starting the process of planning our first trip to Orlando. My husband and I are in our late twenties and are thinking of going to WDR from July 1st to July6th. We want to divide our time seeing the WDR, Sea World, Universal...I have a few questions.

Is July a good time to go ? How is the weather and the crowd ? Any tips would be helpful. We can't really go any other time because along with work we both go to grad school part time. since it will be just the two of us, I want the trip to me more relaxing and enjoyble. We don't want to rush too much and not be able to relax. Where can I find information on some resort and spa style accomodations?

Any suggestions to book tickets for parks etc and sites to find good accomdations and discounts? We would like to stay in the WDR. Any other suggestions etc would be really helpful.

Thanks :)

Hi
Sorry I can't answer your questions but i'd like to welcome you to the boards. :sunny:

According to Birnbaum's Official Guide, the temperature in July is 73-92.
June through Labor Day is "most crowded", as Presidents' week, 3rd wk of mar through 3rd wk of April, Christmas & New Yr's and any school vacation times.

My recommended links to you are:
Disney Resorts

Budget Board

All Ears Net

Have a good time planning! And welcome to the DIS! :)

My DH and I went in July on our 1st trip by ourselves. The crowds are pretty heavy, but way better than at our usual time to go the week after x-mas. Just plan ahead would be my suggestion. The site I use a lot to plan is www.wdwig.com. Great info there on all things Disney! :sunny: Hope this is helpful.

go sign up for her email
www.mousesavers.com

it comes out on the 15th of each month and has some discount ticket brokers.

what do you like if spas and resorts

you might consider renting points from a dvc member - then you can stay in these resorts

www.dvcresorts.com

these are all disney resorts and have all the stuff that a regular hotel room at WDW does. EMH, DME, etc....

In July it will be so darn hot - that I would suggest picking one place either WDW or US/IOA - you will be back....if you have a good trip.

to have a good trip you don't want to bite off too much....

trying to do both WDW and US/IOA in JULY would be too much for me.

you want to be able to leave the parks when it gets too hot, too crowded or you just need a break.

So on this trip go with WDW.

on your next trip go with US and stay over in the that area. they are around 20 to 30 minutes apart....

when I was working and going to school - I went to WDW on my breaks - we have a winter break, Dec, that was prefect!!!! also one in Sept.

If you find you love Disney, you probally will love the DVC. Take the tour when you go.
