So as part of a weeklong holiday to Paris, my bf and I decided on a day trip to Disney because we got a buy 1 park hopper tit get 1 free. It wasn't exactly easy to persuade him to go- he had been when be was 16 and didn't exactly feel the magic! Anyway, we got the rer from Etoile at around 9 on Monday (5 sept) and arrived at Disney at 10. By this stage I was so excited, haven't felt that way in years and literally would compare it to the feeling I got as a child when running down the stairs on early Christmas morning to see what Santa had left me. For that alone I love Disneyland! When we got into the park I was humming along quite loudly to when u wish upon a star which was playing up and down mainstreet. I was struck by how beautiful and well maintained it was, especially because I had read so many comments about a run down park. So we made our way to frontierland and pretty much walked onto big thunder mountain, when we got off the cast member had to free seats in the next ride, so we rode again. Loved the ride, but was a little petrified at the start when the carts or the track started making really loud cracking noises in the tunnel as it was ascending. Turns out t is the norm lol. After that we walked on to phantom manor. Was a little dissapointed with the ride- had expected so much from it, but it bored me and the whole effect was ruined as our tour was constantly interupted by those playful spoorks!

After that we walked onto space mountain. Terrifying! My bf informed me that there was a lot of cool lighting effects on the ride- I wouldn't know I kept my eyes shut the entire time.

After that we walked on to Indiana jones. I like this ride, but found it very very short. I think I would have felt a bit cheated if I had to que for like and hour for so little ride time!

By now it was lunch time. I had already decided through all my research that we would eat at walts and to my horror it was closed! Noooo! Wecouldnt think of anywhere else to go so went to a Mexican place in frontierland. It came to 24 euros forthe 2 of was for what was not good food at all. The chilli con Carnegie was mostly water with a few kidney beans, yummy lol. Anyway I wasn't to suprised because I had read so many bad reviews of the food!

After lunch we walked on to potc, which I thought was good enough, although once was enough! We then took the steamboat in frontierland and then it was off to explore the resort!

We left Disneyland parc and made our way to the village. I really like the concept and the place was buzzing, but it isn't exactly easy on the eyes! All those clashing colours just make it look like butlins in the 90s lol. We walked on to the lake past hotel new York and on to the sequoia lodge. Fell in love with this place. The little outbuildings nestled in the redwoods look beautiful and the lobby and bar area looks something from yosemite. We made our way over to the studios.

I had read so many bad things aboutthis park and I can honestly say I thought it looked great. We walked on to tot. Such an amazing ride, my fav of the day. We got off and went straight back on again. I really wanted to do crush, but the wait time was 50 mins. The park was closing in an hour, so we decidedto give it a miss. We walked on to studio tram tours. I really loved catastrophe canyon. I wasn't to keen on the London part of the tour. It just seemed a bit pointless! It took ages to get there from catastrophe canyon and all for a little flame! Confused me! Also the movies referred to where a tad random and I hadn't heard of some. But for castrophe canyon I give it a thumbs up! The park was closing so back to Disneyland parc.

We decided to go for a cocktail in cafe fantasia. I though the lobby of the Disneyland hotel was beautiful and loved the vanilla smeel, I swear I could smell it of my jacket the next day. Had a symphonies cocktail which was nice. Then back to reality, we had to take the less than charming train back to Paris.

Summary
really loved both parks, but oneday was just not enough! Some parts of Disneyland park was a bit rough aroundthe edges, but it didn't bother me- nothing can ever be perfect! I would love to go back and stay at the sequoia lodge for a few days. Only problem is my bf said he would never go back, I will go back on my own if I have to lol!

you go tomtom - get back there some day by hook or by crook :goodvibes! What date was your flying visit to DLP?

Hey DLPdaft, i went last Monday (5th, this day last week!) It wasnt too busy which was great! One day was not enough, I would need about 3 days to ride everything I want and to soak up the atmosphere, running about in just the one day you kinda miss that! I think this may be the beginnings of a DLP obsession:lmao::cheer2:
