My DH2B and I are currently planning our Disney Wedding...this will be our first trip ever to Disney World (I went to Disneyland in 2001 for one day...the day after Thanksgiving...but that's another story).

We are SOO excited!! We are trying not to 'over plan' because neither of us likes too much structure.

We are staying at the Poly conceirge!!!! We will be arriving about 2 pm on September 19, 2005 (it's a Monday) and we will be leaving on Friday (September 23).

Please give us any suggestions or comments!

Monday:
Arrive at the Poly, check in and take a moment to catch our breath.
We will be going to DTD later to get our wedding rings (a friend is down there now scoping out rings for us!). If there is time, we might go to Epcot (or MGM or AK) for a couple of hours. We are either hoping to catch the Poly dinner show (what's it called again?) but if not, we will just do dinner at O'Hanas and maybe see the Electric Water Parade or some other night time thing (Wishes or Illuminations or Fantasmic...help!)

Tuesday:
GET MARRIED AT 9 AM!!! We figure we'll be done by 11, then back to our room to change and maybe go to one of the parks for a little while (Epcot, MGM or AK). We are planning on having dinner at CRT and maybe catch fireworks?

Wednesday:
Definitely our MK day! No real plans except we want to do the character dinner at LTT.

Thursday:
Really our last day. We hope to do one park (Epcot, MGM, or AK) depending on what we didn't do on Tuesday. We will have limo service for four hours for dinner for the evening. We thought about doing DTD again for dinner and shopping for souvenirs (since we don't have to worry about lugging them all on a bus).

Friday:
Since we have to be at the airport around noon, I'm not expecting we'll have much time for anything besides getting our stuff together to leave...but I'm open to suggestions. Maybe we can do the character breakfast at the Poly that day...

At first, it seemed like so much time to spend at Disney...now I know better!

All comments and suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!

First-Congrats on getting married!!! :bride:
And over looking your plans, I think you have a pretty good sketch of what to do when you're there-besides, it IS your wedding and you don't want to plan TOO much since it will also be your first trip.
I am 23 and have been to Disney multiple times-it's well into the teens...maybe hit 20 by now...and I still leave each trip saying, "Next time we go, we're going to have to do this..." It's just impossible to do EVERYthing, and if you try, you get overwhelmed.
I would suggest trying to squeeze in Illuminations however, if you can on this trip, because out of all the fireworks vs parades vs shows in the entire World, I like this one the best, plus, I think it would be very romantic with your husband there too!
Also-they sell veils and groom's hats with ears on them-kinda corny, but so what??? I plan on MAKING my future husband wear one so I can at least get some pictures!!!
Best Wishes to you and your DH2B-and have a great time!!!!

rowmac2000: Thanks for the good wishes! We are very excited. I think the date is a great one too! ;)

LilMagic2000: Thanks for your good wishes and suggestions! I do want to try to catch all the special night time things (Wishes, Illuminations, etc.) My only concern is I heard that during non-peak season, sometimes they don't do them during the week, or something like that? Is that correct? We're only going to be there Mon. thru Thurs. night...I just hope we'll be able to catch them!

And yes, we are getting the wedding ears...DH2B doesn't mind wearing them! LOL! I guess I got really lucky with him! :earboy2:
