Hi everybody Universal Studios Parks Goer!

Please help me for planning my first Visits in both Universal Studios Parks. Have some questions that hopefully some of you that visits often the parks will be able to answer me. Have no clue how I could or even would manage my plans alongside the Parks and things like they would occur?.

Q1) First is it mostly true that the Main Park has early park closing due to September it seems if I am lucky the Main Park opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 7 p.m. is that accurate and is that always the case or did they do that because of the pandemic???
(would be 11 hours so okay kinda understandable)

Q2) Would be Restaurants also closing with the Park?? Must I eat before this closing Time my dinner???

Q3) Can you take anything with you on rides or have you really always put your things in the locker you have in a small bag??? Can´t you even have a bellybag on your body????

Q4) How did you get your tickets, express pass things as international Guest did you get something via E-Mail and have to scan on kiosks before entrance how you will get the ticket park to park hopper with the unlimited express pass????

Q5) Do you have to reserve for Food like in Disney World with Table Services like is the THREE BROOMSTICKS in Hogsmeade Universal Isle of Adventure, Krusty Burger in Universal Studios, Flaming Moe´s, Florean Fortecues in Diagon Alley, The Today Cafe need any reservations or can you just go there and order delicious stuffs from them just like that???

Q6) ISLE OF ADVENTURE seems open from 9 a.m. til 8 p.m. is it even possible to park hop from park to park multiple times like from Main park to Isle Isle to Main main back to Isle again and isn´t there a pathway between those 2 parks or only accessable via Hogwarts Express????

Q7) Does the Unlimited Express Pass make it really much easier to see all the attraction you want to because besides Hagrids Ride and Velocicoaster at the moment all have accepting the Express Pass is it quite like the former fast pass plus at DisneyWorld???? Will you skip important queue line elements that you wouldn´t see using the Express Pass like in Hogwarts, Gringotts, King Kong, The Mummy, E.T. The Simpsons and so on with kinda emersive Elements part of the Experience????

Q8) What would make more Sense the Express Pass or the Single Rider line in Hogwarts Ride????

Q9) How much possible did you think would be to experience almost the fully Potter Experience at least with visiting the Areas and riding all the rides with Express Pass besides Hagrids Ride all have Express Pass thats good great so would you say on a Tuesday morning hours you could do those stuffs relatively easy where it seems only Hagrid could have some longer waits because want to experience it like fans should starting in the Main Park visiting diagon alley except Ollivander´s cost to much this wands can´t even afford a lightsaber or droid in batuu 😭😥.????

Q10) Which Stores have the most interesting Merchandise like for Universal Studios, Jurassic park, Marvel, Harry Potter, T-shirts and co???

Q11) How much will it costs at Dudley Do Right Ripsaw Falls dry machines to get dried again can you pay with cash bill or does this only take coins???

Q12) Did anyone knows where the test seats are located for the rides and which Rides even have one or need one cuz everyone would fits.???? have seen some vids but don´t know what it could mean for me have to try and just hope to fit everywhere.

Okay enough for now hope you will sweet fully can help me out have over a year til next year End of August I hope will know this information I would need or earlier because have to buy the tickets for this day next year and should know everything before I buy them. So hope you well experienced Go´ers can help me out with my questions would pretty thankful for the input you have for me even when I try to find those information but people that going regularly often knows the best I guess.

Yours Truly Sincerly

DreamCatcher777 (MrChrisDanger on Youtube) hopefully will have funny Vid next year of my trips like Universal Studios outside I guess it is allowed to film only no rides or shows I hope but buildings and stores are allowed.

Just checked and see you are and follow disney

read the stickies I have set up for that UO section
It’s a great help guide to understand the basics

for more details, many threads are current and helpful

Will try to answer most of your questions:

Q1) First is it mostly true that the Main Park has early park closing due to September it seems if I am lucky the Main Park opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 7 p.m. is that accurate and is that always the case or did they do that because of the pandemic???
(would be 11 hours so okay kinda understandable)

Hours in September are mostly impacted by Halloween Horror Nights which is a separate ticketed after hours event. If you look below, this is the schedule for Halloween Horror Nights in Sept and Oct.

597350

So on those nights highlighted, Universal Studios closes at 5:00 to clear the park for Horror Nights. Islands of Adventure though stays open longer (to 8:00pm typically) as people not going to Horror Nights shift over there. But this isn't too much of a worry. September and October are usually quieter and not as busy as summer months or holidays.

Q2) Would be Restaurants also closing with the Park?? Must I eat before this closing Time my dinner???

The restaurants in the actual parks close with the parks, however the vast majority of sit-down restaurants are in Citywalk (just outside the park gates) and they are currently open to around 11:00pm. Also all of the restaurants at the different resorts (that are within walking distance of the parks) are also open late and you don't need to stay at the resort to eat at the restaurants.

Q3) Can you take anything with you on rides or have you really always put your things in the locker you have in a small bag??? Can´t you even have a bellybag on your body????

Most rides allow a Fanny Pack (or Belly Bad as you call it) provided it has a secure 3-progned clasp. The only rides that force you to use the lockers are Hulk and Velocicoaster (in IOA) and Rip Ride Rockit (in Universal Studios). But the lockers are not an issue. It takes a couple of minutes to pop your belongings in a locker just outside all of the rides and they are free to use (the smaller ones).

Q4) How did you get your tickets, express pass things as international Guest did you get something via E-Mail and have to scan on kiosks before entrance how you will get the ticket park to park hopper with the unlimited express pass????

This all depends on where and how you book. Some booking sites send you an email with your actual tickets that you print out from home yourself. Some require you to pick up your tickets at Service Kiosks just outside the gate. If you booked to stay at one of the resorts you can typically pick up your tickets at a ticket desk at the resorts. You will just need to check to see what your situation would be when you are buying your tickets.

All of the eateries you mentioned are Quick Service restaurants so no reservations for those. Table Service restaurants you can make reservations for, but it's not like Disney where you need to do ADR 6 months ahead of time. In normal times you often don't even need a reservation for the Table Service restaurants. During these current covid times you need to make a reservation, but you can do it close to the day (or sometimes even day of).

The parks are literally right next to each other. We often hop several times back and forth each day. You can either go via Hogwarts Express (which is at the back of the parks) or via the front gates. It takes 5 minutes or less to walk from one gate to the next (it's about 200m from gate to gate)

Yes. It really is like FP+ but unlimited for every ride (minus the ones you noted) and you go when you want (you don't reserve times or anything like that). You can get SO much done in short order with the Unlimited Express Pass. But you also want to weight the costs. Some will say you have to have EP. Personally, I can do without it during slower times. But to me best of both worlds is staying at one of the deluxe resorts (Portofino, Hard Rock, or Royal Pacific) which are fabulous resorts that are just as good as any Disney Deluxe but cheaper, and they come with the Unlimited EP for free.

In terms of missing good queue elements, IMO the only one where you miss a few neat things is for Forbidden Journey (Hogwarts castle). Others might feel this for other rides too, but to me the only one worth doing the full queue for is Forbidden Journey

Q8) What would make more Sense the Express Pass or the Single Rider line in Hogwarts Ride????

Well if you have EP, that always makes more sense. But if you don't then go with Single rider line.

Trying to unpack all of that to answer as best as I can. It all depends on which park has early entry as typically only one of the parks has early entry outside of super busy holiday dates. In September though it's usually the Studios side. If you have express pass, and early entry (by staying on-site) you can do a lot in Diagon Alley early. Many go straight to Gringotts for a short queue but if you have EP you don't need to do that and can do it later. You can spend that early hour touring Diagon Alley (checking out the shops and whatnot). But just to make sure you know, Hagrids has typically been operating using a virtual queue so you just can't hop into the queue if the VQ is in effect. Sometimes they don't use it if its slower and don't need to. You will need to see how it's operating when you are there. There are threads in this form that give a lot of detail how the virtual queue works.

Q10) Which Stores have the most interesting Merchandise like for Universal Studios, Jurassic park, Marvel, Harry Potter, T-shirts and co???

There's a big Universal Store in Citywalk just before you enter the parks (or just after you leave) and also the general/main Universal store just after you enter have a good mix of everything that you mention. But then in all of the lands/areas they have stores that have even more stuff specific to the lands they are in.

Q11) How much will it costs at Dudley Do Right Ripsaw Falls dry machines to get dried again can you pay with cash bill or does this only take coins???

If I recall correctly, it's $5 an they do take bills. That being said in the Florida heat I always found I dried off realtively quickly just walking around. Also, many people plan their day to do the super soaker rides (Dudley's and Popeye's) just before they plan to take a mid-day break back at the resort so they can go back and change out of their wet clothes

Q12) Did anyone knows where the test seats are located for the rides and which Rides even have one or need one cuz everyone would fits.???? have seen some vids but don´t know what it could mean for me have to try and just hope to fit everywhere.

They're pretty much just outside each ride, just before you enter the queue.

How much will it costs at Dudley Do Right Ripsaw Falls dry machines to get dried again can you pay with cash bill or does this only take coins???

Unless you're wearing quick-dry clothes, those things are useless.
And if you're wearing quick-dry clothes, you don't need them.

Far more simple to just bring some clothes in a backpack to either change into for the wet rides OR bring clothes to change into after the wet rides. (of course make sure those clothes are in something waterproof, or rent a locker for them)

Hi everybody Universal Studios Parks Goer!

Q3) Can you take anything with you on rides or have you really always put your things in the locker you have in a small bag??? Can´t you even have a bellybag on your body????

This depends on the ride. Some rides you are allowed to take your bags with you, other rides require a locker. For the rides where you have to store your belongings in a locker, it is right next to the line or at the end of the line. It is an easy process that goes quickly and will not take long.

Express Pass is fantastic and worth it. If you are a big Harry Potter fan, I would reccomend riding once with Express Pass and once without. You do see more of Hogwarts castle without the Express Pass. With Express Pass, you miss parts of the castle. I have never done the regular line at King Kong, only the Express Pass line.

Will try to answer most of your questions:

THANKS SO MUCH HELPED ME A LOT as International Guest and First Timer I am doing mostly a Disney World Trip staying there in POP Century so it is just this one Day I will be there and try to ride all the important rides and hope will fit everywhere because the Potter World Wizarding World is a must do for me those Rides sounds amazing so will definitely trying to get in the Mornings to do Hogwarts Castle Journey of the Forbidden with full queue elements.

For the water rides can use my poncho anyways but don´t know if these rides would be more intense than Splash Mtn. Khali River Rapids wasn´t getting to wet on those and Popeyes Bluto´s sounds looks similiar to Khali River only Dudley Do Right sounds splashier :=)

Should I do that with Gringotts as well??? will there also been skipped important elements because seeing that goblins aisle like in the Movies will be important.

Is the Money Exchange for Potter also in that queue line sounds funny to change dollars to wizard money for some delicious honey like butterbear, the ice cream and so on.????

Both Dudley Do Right and Popeye's Bilge Rat Barges will leave you absolutely drenched, like down to your socks, much wetter than Splash Mountain. They are really fun just plan ahead!

Gringotts you don't really miss anything using express lane. You will still see the Goblins Aisle in the main bank still. The Money exchange is in a different place in Diagon Alley.

While Popeyes uses same style boats as Khali, you will get MUCH more wet. It is a soaker ride.

I am international, too and totally understand all your questions. But you can relax, Universal is much easier to do than Disney. I would consider to stay in one of the premium hotels, so with one night you get the unlimited Expresspass for check-in and check-out day. Depending on how many people are in your party it can be cheaper than buying the Expresspass.
I would also suggest to visit the Quick service restaurants before usual lunch time, the ones in the Harry Potter area can fill up and you have to wait.
We often switch between the parks, it seems like a shorter walk as from entrance to bus stop at Animal Kingdon😀
I hope you enjoy your trip.

Doing everything in one day can be a challenge, especially if you are a Potter fan. There are so many things to see and do, you can easily spend the day doing just HP stuff and not see it all. I highly recommend reading this thread: https://www.disboards.com/threads/wizarding-world-touring-plans-and-details.3666427/.

If you go on a weekday in late August or September, then I would expect weekday crowds to be smaller since kids are in school. But with only a single day staying offsite (so no Early Entry), EPs will allow you shrink the lines and get more done. If you can add a second day, that would help a lot. And as Fely mentioned, booking a deluxe resort for 1 night would give you 2 days of EPs for up to 5 people.

Even with a Poncho:blush:and if so even than I guess best would be Popeye´s first than dudley do right and than hoping this dry machines would do the best if not the poncho protects enough 😊 :hyper::laughing:

Did anyone know if IMPACT WRESTLING holds any Shows still around Studios or Isle of Adventure back many Years ago they TV-Taped their Shows and some Recruiters even asked people in the parks to watch the Events for free if they making good enjoyments cheering things there. Is that still around I guess since Canadian Billionaire Callis took over they didn´t or since Jeff Jarrett´s GFW Times where they joined TNA back than before Callis bought both of them.????

I don't think they have had the wrestling for many, many years. I remember taking my son in 2007 or 2008 and I think it ended not too long after that??

Much much much splashier.
As in drenched.
From bottom to top and top to bottom.

Universal doesn't play around with their wet rides.

Switch to flipflops for the rides; no socks. And bring new undergarments to put on under your fresh clothes.

Thanks so far for the Help to all that responsed.

Q14
No reservations needed for getting the Krusty burger
It’s a counter service place.

Q16
If you have the photo card, it is valid for any section where the photographers are
