In terms of boarding strategy, how should we work it? We have a 3.5 year old and a 13 week old. By the time we get to the boat, how should we handle Palo, spa and childcare reservations? Is there a chance we can't get them? Or is the issue to get "good" times? I know my son will be in the program during the day, but if we want to send him (or if he wants to go) to care in the evening, what do the kids do-is this the childcare I have to reserve for? Does it fill up? When I read everyone's thoughts on making reservations, it stresses me out that we are not getting there until later!!!

1PM??? I would be stressing over "what if the plane is late and they sailed without me???" Of course I am a worrier about time, so I am flying in the night before we sail. Good luck...hope you get the ressies you are hoping for. :)

If you have DCL transfers you should be OK about getting to the boat...unless your plane is delayed then you'll have a problem....

Like Dopey I don't think I'd worry yet about ressies....until I'm secure on the boat.....

Are you on the 7 night, 4 night, or 3 night? I think that Palo ressies are easier on the 7 night than the 3 or 4 night. As to the night events in the club, your son is welcome at all: you do not need to sign up for each event. Are you planning on using Flounders for the 13 week old--not sure how to coordinate Flounders and Palo's. I sort of second what everyone else is saying, is there any way to change you flight arrival--of course, if you are flying on the cruise line flights, the boat won't leave without you; I've done the quick trip back to the airport from port to catch a flight, and it is not fun!

We were on the 1/25 sailing and our plane got in at 12:47. We sent directly to Palo's and the available reservations were very slim. Make whatever reservations you can get and check later in the week. We had a 6pm dinner resv., much to early for us and a few days later we were able to change it to 8pm.

Can't help with the childrens things, we were traveling without kids.

The only info I can give is that if you're on anything less than a 7 day, you're probably out of luck on ressies, both Palo's and the spa were done by 2pm today. And it'll take more than an hour to get onboard.

As far as the timeframe, you're leaving about a 2 hour cushion and that's it. She sails at 5pm promptly, and is usually buttoned up and ready to go long before that.

Our flight arrives for the cruise at 10:50am. We are on the 7 day. Any more thoughts???
