I'm off to stay at the Cheyenne on the 14th February for 5 nights/6days. Just looking for a wee bit of advice!

I'm travelling with my husband and two kids, 2 and 5 - any opinions on best way to travel from CDG airport to Disneyland? I had been thinking the train for quickness but now thinking about the VEA for easiness? Seems to sound like its easier to find than the train with two kids in tow.

Is there any specific block thats good in the Cheyenne that I could send a request for beforehand?

I've booked for Buffallo Bill but also would like to book a character meal, was thinking Auberge for my wee girl who's over two but not sure if it would appeal to my 5 yr old boy? Also quite fancied inventions - any suggestions on whats best?

Finally, I'm taking £1000 of spending money - I'm not wanting to skrimp on things as the holiday is a one off, is this enough?! Buffallo bill night is already prepaid and we're more than likely going to have the one meal a day (maybe a snack at lunch) as well as breakfast, thinking Planet Hollywood/rainforest cafe etc. Any other reccomendations for restaurants? We will be drinking wine and maybe having the odd cocktail with our meals too, is this overly expensive?

Thanks in advance for your help and sorry if there's too many questions!

any opinions on best way to travel from CDG airport to Disneyland? We're going by TGV in march but its only me and my friend - when i go with dp and the kids in november we'll go with ezyshuttle i think - theres a link to their site in useful info thread. they pick you up at CDG > driver holds a board with your name and drop you to your hotel

Is there any specific block thats good in the Cheyenne that I could send a request for beforehand? Have a look at the thread on the cheyenne in the hotels section - theres a map in one of the pictures and you could pick which block you'd prefer although disney cannot guarantee your choice, id go for one close to reception maybe

I've booked for Buffallo Bill but also would like to book a character meal, was thinking Auberge for my wee girl who's over two but not sure if it would appeal to my 5 yr old boy? Also quite fancied inventions - any suggestions on whats best? Ive not tried inventions or auberge but cannot sing Cafe Mickeys praise enough - we loved it

Thanks a lot, very helpful! Had a wee look at the shuttle, sounds like a good option so going to email them :) Thanks again x

Congratulations on booking your holiday - I have always used the VEA and found it great you can sometimes get to the hotel within 30 minutes (last time for us) but it is usually about 45 - 55 minutes. The bus is quite exciting for kids - mine always love it. I too would highly recommend cafe Mickey for a meal breakfast or Dinner - there is lots of character interaction with the children! We also loved Inventions and auberge (but that is quite girly!). Hope you have a fantastic time!

We tried the train once and will never do it again. First we waited in a long line to get the tickets, then we had to wait 20 min for our train. You get a seat number, so you can't just board any train. The ride was quick but after an hour of waiting in line and for the train, it wasn't worth it.
Inventions at the Disneyland Hotel is really good for character dinner.

Have a great trip!

I always use the TGV train now, both ways if the timetable allows. But I book my tickets in advance, and then there is no delay at the airport. I think the TGV platforms are well signposted at terminal 2, I've not once got lost finding my way to or from the TGV at the airport. Yes, you do get assigned seats when you book a TGV ticket, but in my experience no-one on the train pays the slightest bit of notice to assigned seats, you just sit where you like.

If you have young children, buggies and lots of luggage, a private transfer shuttle would be most convenient, and probably just as cheap as the train (and possibly even cheaper than the VEA).

I would have to agree that with children you want the most relaxed and convenient journey possible, for me that is Ezyshuttle, they are brilliant! :thumbsup2

We love Auberge, well DD LOVES it, my Mum & I really enjoy it, DH tolerates it!! We enjoyed Cafe Mickey too, but it's completely different, in terms of food and atmosphere. I would check out the restaurant review threads for a better idea. Inventions is pricey but then it's a buffet so I guess it's up to you to get your moneysworth!! We had great character interation there. :thumbsup2

I seem to remember that a glass of wine was about 5 Euros and we shared a cocktail for 2 which cost 19 Euros - it was huuuuuuge! (There is a cocktail thread on here somewhere!)

Happy planning! :goodvibes
