Hi All,

We are doing a split stay in three weeks... First half of week on site at WDW, then next half at Royal Pacific. Devoting Thursday the 13th and Friday the 14th to both Universal parks.

We have two die-hard HP fans. We will be up with the sun for early entry. Any expert advice on which park to hit first? I was guessing that Thursday will be less crowded than Friday so we should head to Diagon Alley then, and Friday do Hogwart's. Is it best to walk or take the boat at that hour??

Any tips for a first timer? Thank you so much!!!!

Early admission is only at Universal Studios. You can actually do that both days and then scoot over to IOA on the first Hogwarts Express. Gringotts is still going down quite a bit, so it can happen that it is down during early admission. In that case, you can zip over and ride Despicable Me instead.

Unless the boat is at the dock when you get there, I'd just walk.

I had no clue about the early entry at only one side!! Makes more sense now why on people's trip reports everyone always seems to follow the same path! Haha! Thank you!

I've noticed all the down times on Gringott's... Will hope for a good day!

Definitely excited for Despicable Me... What else is must do...? We have three girls; 6, 9, 12... All up for (just about) anything!!!

Anything you want! Enjoy the freedom of doing Universal and IOA with express pass!

Ha! Maybe I am just so used to having to plan every second while at Disney! So excited to spend some time there!!

No planning is necessary except for early admission and perhaps where you want to eat. I wouldn't do any sit down restaurants during the day, but save them for dinner after you are done in the parks.

ET is very cute as is the entire Seuss land. They'll probably enjoy Shrek as well.

If they need to blow off a bit of steam, let them run around at the Camp Jurassic. There are really cool paths through caves and waterfalls. They also may enjoy Jurassic Discovery Centre where they learn about dinosaurs interactively.
