Welcome to the Dis - from another fellow Baggies fan. Roll on tomorrow night so we can look forward to going to Wembley hopefully !!!!

Tell your DW that she only needs some shorts, vests/t-shirts and underwear (of course) plus comfy footwear. She can always buy it over there - it is so much cheaper.

I am sure that your little girl will have the time of her life. We took my niece when she was nearly 6 and she had a whale of a time. She can still remember stuff now from that first visit and she is nearly 14.

My Dad, niece and myself are planning to fly out (late deal permitting) on either 27 or 28 September so might see you there ????

To be honest most of the clothes shopping is already done - DW took advantage of the fact that she used to work at Next Clearance (which is already silly cheap) and used to put the bargains to one side for herself

One question though - How good is the Disney laundry service? - if we use it can we expect to find things missing when it returns or is it quite reliable. DW says she wouldn't mind doing a bit but I would rather use the service provided to make sure the DW has a proper holiday!

We have never used the Disney laundry service, but there are coin operated laundries adjacent to all the quite pools at POR which are open 24 hours - you will need your room key to access the laundry rooms after midnight (who would want to do laundry after midnight ).

Washers and dryers cost $2 per load and detergent is $1 (although you could take a few washing powder tablets with you if you like your usual brand).
I've read that the dryers can be a bit slow though.

We have never used the laundry service, the washers are usually by the pool,you canjust pop a load in and then sit by the pool, when that's done pop it in the dryer

I realise that this is slighty going off-topic and I didn't really want to start a new thread just to ask a simple question but is there a post limit that you have to reach before you can make or reply to private messages?

I have received some and wish to reply but when I select submit post I receive an on-screen message telling me that my post count is too low.

hello baggie , we stayed at por last sept alligator bayou was the section where we stayed and is very close to the food court and the disney transport{i would advice you to stay near the food court }as it could be a bit of a walk staying away from the food court especially if you have a refillable mug ,there are several pools and all have a laundry ,if you like a dip i suggest that you put your washing in while you have a dip and its all done in a hour and its very cheap ,anyway its looks like you are going to wembley good luck ,i want you out of this league as you keep beating us

Hi baggie and welcome. i think its wonderful that you're going to suprise your DD like that, sounds like it really will be a dream come true for her.

I know there is a post minimum for some things, like posting photos but didn't know about private messages, could well be though. Maybe one of the moderators can give you a clue to the magic number

Welcome and happy planning! We've eaten in Boatwrights and thought it was very nice. A big slab of prime rib with cornbread.

September is a great time to visit, although I am surprised no-one has mentioned that, at least, for the first part of your trip, the free dining promotion will be running so you may find it a bit busier than it ordinarily would have been. That said, I am not sure it will be completely manic - unlik when we go in August probably You may find it harder to get in to some places for meals without an ADR though - but you seem to be pretty flexible so I'm sure that will stand you in good stead.

Regarding Cirque, I'm with Debs - we really enjoyed it and I do think it's worth seeing it once. It's not really a circus at all (not in the traditional sense anyway) and there are some bits where you will be going 'Wow'. Having seen it once, though, I wouldn't pay the money to see it again.
