So excited that we just booked April 14-16 2022. Then moving to Marriott April 16-23rd to join the rest of the family. A few questions!

1. trying to decide between luau at aulani vs fia Fia at Marriott. Not going to waste the 48 hours we are at aulani w a luau but will possibly come back when staying at Marriott. Any preferences? Will do vip- kids are 6 and 9.., looks like Disney has a better preshow? They are almost the same price.

2. is it hard to get a time to snorkel at rainbow reef? We will be there during spring break and wonder how hard it will be. Same w feeding the fish.

3. how long does it take to do meheene trail? Loos fun but I read somewhere there are 4 different ones at 45 mins each? Which one is the best?

4. it sounds like pool is open at 8? Can we buy breakfast at ulu and sit in chairs by pool to eat? Or can’t get chairs until 8?

5. is the character breakfast worth it during covid?

6. planning on taxi/ unerring from airport and then renting car at Alamoin ko olina after leaving aulani- good strategy?

Thank you so much!!

We've never done Fia Fia so I can only comment on the Disney one. In the past, it was written more at a kid level than others we'd been to

We've never had a hard time getting snorkeling time at Christmas at Rainbow reef ... During feeding time it was busier, but we only tried once or twice and neither one was a big deal to get.

My kids did the Mehehune trail once... Kind of the HI version of the old Kim Possible game in Epcot.

There are tables around the Ulu that you can eat at... I wouldn't try to grab loungers

Haven't been there since COVID started but "worth it" is all relative

Might want to make sure the car rental desks have reopened. They were closed for months

Save an hour to do the trail so you aren’t rushing. They never ask us “which one” do you want when we go.

You can get chairs before 8 but just don’t leave them. :) Have one person stay.

We booked character breakfast because food is good but we ultimately canceled. It looks socially distances from the characters but why not?! If you decide not to, it’s ok too. That’s a tough choice.

Car rental desk has reopened at Aulani. I booked my 1 day car renal with them.
