First timer be gentle...couple questions

Hello UO experts!

Glad they have this forum for UO like they do for Disney makes life easier...okay so this visit we have decided to include Universal with our Disney and I have a couple of questions...we will be coming somewhere between Nov 11th - 20th.
1. Is there anytime during our visit that is better (probably doing 5 or 6 days Dis)
2. How many days are enough to get enjoy Universal and do most things without crazy commando? (Kids are 7 & 9)
3. Are the express passes worth it at this time of year?

Any other advice is welcomed.

1. avoid saturdays
2. depends on what you want to see and do in the parks.
3 would be a good number where you don't have to rush
3. t-w-th look pretty good and you won't need ep's.

early thru the middle of november will not be crowded.
crowds begin once Tday begins.

How about the character breakfast a must do with young kids?

I think you could do both parks very well if you plan a sunday and Monday. Sundays at Universal seem to be very manageable. I don't think you will need express passes that time of year.

You probably won't need to do the character breakfast. The parks will be pretty quiet that time and there are lots of characters in the park for you to interact with. The lineups for characters aren't like at Disney.
