First timer back from 7 days....

We had a blast. I had no idea how big WDW is!!! It is always good to learn from past mistakes and I definately have. #1 I will stay on site next time. We stayed at BWLBV and the room was nice and there were no problems but it was so far away from everything. It took us almost an hour to get to the MK in the mornings. #2 I will plan more character meals. We have to eat anyway and we all had the best time at the meals. My 2 yr old will now demand Mickey and friends next time we eat at Olive Garden. Poor baby!LOL #3 I will not eat at the Sci Fi dinner theatre. YUK! My son missed Epcot the next day because of a bad meal there. He threw up all night. #4 I will take a full day break just to explore the other areas/resorts disney has to offer. Won't be to fast paced next time. #5 I will rent a stroller if needed. My 2 yr old NEVER sat in it. She was either carried, walked or TRIED to push the stroller "all by herself" thru the crowds! UGH but it was a great carry all. #6 bring more summer clothes, Had to do laundry because we brought too much winter stuff and not enough cool clothes. #7 try not to see everything. Slow down and take in the extras disney has to offer. All in all, we had a great time. Can't wait till next time.......

All and all it sounds like you and your family had a GREAT vacation! When you say it took almost an hour to get to the MK were you driving or taking busses? Was it due to traffic of simply the distance in driving? How were the crowds

We stayed at BWLBV on our March trip. The bus schedule just took so much time out of our day. I agree about staying on site if you don't have a car. I would stay offsite for a great deal if we had a car available though

Those character meals are wonderful aren't they? I think we had one everyday and my nephew just loved them.

We had good food at Sci Fi though, sorry to hear that your ds was ill

glad to hear you had a good time! We stayed at the wl and it was wonderful, this was my first trip with my child and all the other times i went way back when i stayed off site. i definitely think staying on site is the right thing, not just for the convienence but because it made it more of a complete vacation for us. we went to the parks till they were crowded and we were tired and spent the afternoons at the hotel and still felt like we were at wdw because of the great mickey atmoshphere. the pool at the wl was a great break, and if my daughter and i decided to ride its a small world again while my husband snoozed it was just a quick boat ride away! i really hope we get to go back someday!
