First Timer: Animal Kingdom Room Amenities List?

Hello All,

New to DVC and we have our first trip booked! We have a 1 bedroom at Kidani Village.

Is there a list anywhere that outlines what will be included in the room, and what we need to request?

Thinking specifically about a kettle, dish soap, paper towel (or dish towels), laundry detergent, and dryer sheets. Trying to determine what we will be packing, ordering via groceries, and enjoying via Disney.

I can tell you that there is no kettle but can request one and will bring assuming they gave some. No dryer sheets but the rest of what you listed is there.

Thank you! What’s the best way to make a request? Chat via DVC site or some other method? I’m guessing the earlier I make a request, the better my chances.

Also, when it comes to room requests (ie room numbers or locations), how do you do that?

You have to call housekeeping when you get to your room.

They supply 1 small box of powder type laundry detergent, I always throw a ziplock w/ laundry pods into my suitcase because I like them better than the powder supplied & I do more than the 1 load you can do w/ the little box. I’m not sure if they’d bring more if I asked for them, but they don’t give you an extra when they clean the villa on day 4.
Re: room requests, through the years I’ve used chat via the DVC site, emailing MS, or calling MS & have had reasonable success w/ my requests (which I keep very simple, like for Kidani I’d probably request lower floor if I was in a savanna view there, or if walking was a concern w/ those long halls I’d probably request near lobby or near one of the elevators near the lobby.)

? I think OP is asking about room location requests prior to arrival, not how to get a kettle delivered lol.

No problem, w/ Kidani & its’ long halls I’d probably request lower floor (to be nearer eye level w/ the animals although some like the panoramic view you get from the higher floors) & if I wanted to limit my hikes to/from the lobby/villa I’d ask for either near Rafiki or Timon elevator which are each just a couple of pods of rooms away from the lobby rather than a more generic near lobby request since a lot of people probably request near lobby.
