So my daughters and I are heading to Fl for spring break and will be spending one day at US/IOA with an emphasis on WWOHP. I'm normally a really big planner when it comes to stuff like this but this trip, I think because it's only one day, is sneaking up on me! So, now I'm starting to panic!!

We ( myself, daughters & friends ages 15-18) will be there on Wed March 30. We're staying at RPR so will have EE & express passes. Our intention is to do whichever HP area has early entry first and ride the main rides first. Here's where I get confused;

Are we better quickly hopping on HE to get to the other side before rope drop and casually explore both lands later? Or...

Ride the HP ride, take our time to explore, then hIt the rest of the park and not go to the other HP area until evening when lines may die down? Either way, we want to make HP our main focus

The hours with EE will be 7am-10pm, so I feel like we should have time to do most of what we'd like to do/see? But I still want to be smart and maximize our time there since it's such a busy/crowded time! TIA for the advice..you may be hearing from me a lot in the next 2 weeks!:goodvibes

you will have from 7-8 with only hotel guests at pottervile that first hour.
i would do as much as possible before leaving that area.
it will only fill up more as the day goes by.

do be in the early entry line way before 7 am.

once the other side is open, if you use HE to travel to it, you will be ahead somewhat of the crowds that soon will be entering.
who knows if they will have EE for both parks at a day before decision?
that i have seen happen in a large crowd period.

if i only had one day, i would complete the first park involving potter before i moved to the other park.
You can use your ep on a few rides at IOA in potterville.
(not on FJ though)

OP, would you mind reporting back after your trip? I'm doing a similar trip the week of Thanksgiving. I'd love to hear about your experience!

Op you do get two days of express with your night at Royal Pacific. Checkin early morning until evening of the next day. Your daughter is at the perfect age to really love universal! You're going at an extremely busy time. If there's any way to add another day, I'd do it! This would also allow a break away from the crowds at the height of the day. The pool at rp is my happy place. It would be hard to go all day from 7am-10pm without a break. And the early morning hours and late evening hours will be the absolute best.

I did hear that, thanks! Our budget is pretty tight & cost of tickets/food for a second day is more than I can spend. We're going a day early to enjoy the hotel, pools etc. Hopefully with the EE and EP we'll be able to experience as much as possible. :thumbsup2

me too !!

would totally love to hear from you when you return and give us your impressions, the good and the bad.
hope it all is wonderful!

Absolutely! I'm sure it'll be great thanks to everyone's great advice!

I've been trying to find a room onsite for spring break and have had no luck. Wonder how many rooms are paid for but remain empty?

^ Yes. If you have a group of people, it is usually cheaper to pay for a "throw away" hotel room than for Express Passes for everyone.

Staying on topic with Paula's questions, I put March 30 circled on my calendar and will hope we hear from her while she is in the parks

We need more homies doing love reporting for us left back at home
