First time

This is my first post but have been a reader of posts for a long time! I just had to share that as of last night our trip is booked and it is now REAL!! This will be my 4th time to Disney World and it just gets better and better! I told my husband now that it is booked I can start full force on my planning and he said no way!!...I'm not allowed we are to go at a slow pace this trip and go with the flow, and play everyday by ear. I guess what he doesn't know won't hurt him!! Thanks everyone for all the wonderful tips!! We will be going May28-June 3....maybe we will see some of you there!!

Congratulations on booking your trip. I know husbands can be a pain sometimes. But when you arrive to the first restraunt don't tell him you have adr and look at his face when they tell him they are fully booked. Then say no sweat we have adr. That's why you plan. That's what I did to my dh last time we went. And he never said anything about my planning again. He actually went over all the menus this time and helped me pick.

It's ok to "just go with the flow" (I can't believe I said that - I'm such a planner). What is best is to be prepared. Do your research ahead of time. Know in your mind what you want to do. So to your husband it may look like "go with the flow", but in reality it's all stored in your Disney mind. Have fun.

DITTO!!! My thoughts exactly. Even if DH wants you to go slowwww...fine..but the best plan I had in all my years traveling to WDW was getting ADR's!!! After a full day of Park Hopping and walking and waiting in lines, it is just so awesome to have ADR's!! In my recent trip to WDW (off-season, mind you)..I saw people turned away or told the wait was 40 minutes or longer by hostesses and than I saw sad faces on families as the hunt would continue as to WHERE IN THE WORLD WOULD THEY EAT DINNER!!! Get your ressies all in order...DH will certainly thank you for that PLAN...
