First time you ever ate at WDW was.....?

January of 1992. The Garden Gallery, at the Disney Inn. Michael Eisner and some other suits were a couple tables away - this was a quiet spot where a lot of the execs liked to dine, because it was a lot less busy than the nearby monorail resorts.

I still have the receipt somewhere, so I could look up what I ate.

Back in 1991 the 1st meal I remember eating was at Chef Mickeys. It was located at DTD where the Rainforest Cafe is now. They had great Chicken fried steak (or was it chicken fried chicken) either way is was great. My DS was 6 and loved seeing Mickey and friends. The next meal I remember was at CBR (our 1st resort) when they had a restaurant and indoor lounge where the gift shop is now. That was good too!

after checking in at allstar sports in july of 1999, we ordered something from the foodcourt :confused3 i don't remeber what most likly fries and burger :goodvibes

WWWAAAYY back in the 70's. Went to Adventureland Veranda for lunch and the Crystal Palace for dinner. The Crystal Palace back then was a cafeteria style place and had great chicken. I remember going into the CP and being amazed at how beautiful it looked. I loved that years later we took our kids for character meals there many times. Thanks for the memories!

Enjoy The Magic!!

This last June of 2010...Akershus was my first Disney meal ever! I got the Norwegian meatballs...even have a picture of them!

No idea when it was, sometime in the 1980's but we used to have meals and a show at the Diamond Horseshoe Saloon. They put on a cancan show. We could also get sandwiches at Cinderella's Castle. Not only that but when we went for my son's birthday they used to give you a cake that was so big we left it with another family after the 4 of us had eaten our fill. There weren't any ADRs you either went to Town Hall or the restaurant itself.

Another thing we did that they don't do anymore is the ice cream social at Epcot. They would give you ice cream with this big chocolate cookie in it while characters walked around socializing. It was in a revolving restaurant.

We also went during the 1970's but that was before I was married. I don't really count WDW trips until after I had a family.

My first meal at Disney was at Prime Time Cafe while on a wish trip for my sister. We had the most outstanding "Mom". The second meal was the same trip, next day, at Cinderella's Royal Table. I still have the glass mug that my drink came in.

Goodness knows - I have no idea what I first ate there was as I was 7 on my first trip. The first couple of things I do remember, though...

1. Eating at the Cantina in Mexico with my cousin on a big family trip when the older kids (young teens) were given some freedom to spend time on our own without our parents and younger siblings.

2. Same trip, with my family having pizza. I think it was at the Pavilion in Tomorrowland. My dad had been reassuring my sister (she was 8) that many things were fake. We were eating this pizza and my dad looked at us and said "I think the pizza is fake, too." That's been an inside joke for nearly 25 years now. :rotfl:

It was 1978, there was only the Magic Kingdom at the time. I had part of a chocolate chip cookie from the Bakery on Main Street. I was 13. We were so poor, we had to split all our meals. [Six kids]:teacher:

AHHH memories!

It was May 1988 (our 4th anniversary). We were staying at the Polynesian Resort. We had just arrived from So. California and had a VERY late dinner at the Kona Cafe. My husband had beef brochettes and I had fried shrimp.

GOSH - I cannot believe my husband and I both remember this.

Ohana at the Poly, breakfast, 1998. Can't remember what we had, but it was a character breakfast. This was before Lilo and Stitch, it was just Goofy, Chip and Dale, I think. MAYBE Mickey and Minnie were there, I can't remember. I seem to remember eating eggs and bacon and that's it! I was too excited to be in Disney and couldn't wait to get to MK!

1991 or so...had some sort of Asian food from counter service in Epcot (don't even remember where the counter was...just that it was in Epcot.)

Was with my oldest son, who was 10 at the time. He had won a trip to Disney World for him & a parent, so I got to go with him. We had a blast, but both agreed the food all looked perfect and tasted like nothing. Blah. We joked it was the Disney magic making everything look wonderful but all fake, lol. We still loved out trip.

Fast forward to now...people always complaining about how the food tastes now. Well, compared to early 90s it's great!

Our flight was delayed due to hurricane Charley so we arrived a day late and missed our ADRs. After a long check in process at our resort we were absolutely starving we we settled on Big River Grill. My husband had meatloaf, my son and I shared a chicken sandwich and my other two boys had the Big Brew cheeseburger. I can't believe I remember what we ate but maybe that's because it was our first trip and we were so excited to be there!

We had just arrived and it was late. We decided to check Epcot out first, since that was the park we were most excited about.

Came upon the Biergarten and it had become our favorite-must-do of every trip. The food was the typical but the beer was flowing. When we were done eating and we then went out and watched the fireworks over the lagoon. I truly think that was the moment I fell in love with DW. The magic was overwhelming.

We stayed at Ft. Wilderness Campground in a cabin (1986---13 years old) and the mom's made most of our meals. I only remember eating one meal in the parks---Pecos Bills at MK. I'm sure we had hamburgers & fries.

This is easy!!
September 1975, Papeete Bay Verandah. Had the scallops in coconut/lime sauce as an appetizer and Pigs N' Prawns as my entree.
All washed down by several Seven Seas Cocktails. I still have the souvenier glass!!

It was 1978, stayed at the Poly...Kona cafe.....at least I believe it had its current name at that time?....i was 9yo.

July 1977. Breakfast at the Sara Lee Bakery, Main St., MK. I think it was a Banana Spice Cake with Banana Icing. I do remember the weather being insanely hot and driving from the Howard Johnson's Main Gate hotel with the windows open.

Things have gone decidedly uphill since then.
