So my family and I are headed to Disney 10/6-10/13 with the kids for the first time. DD is 4, DS will be 15 months when we go. We are traveling with family (4 other adults and 2 children same ages as mine)

We have made some reservations for dinners (Coral Reef and Chef Mickey) and breakfasts Little Einstein and Dynasaurus) but that's pretty much it.

Which restaurants are recommended for both kid friendly table service as well as decent counter service that's not all burger and chicken nuggets)

We do plan on using one of our table services for an adult night our at Epcots Tepayaki Dining Room (sp).

Thanks!

As far as counter service I would hit Columbia Harbour house in the MK. They have sandwhich, salads and fried fish and chicken. I always get the half a tuna salad sandwhich and a cup of clam chowder. You can also do Cosmic Rays as a counter service you can get a combo and it is a half roasted chicken and a slab of BBQ ribs with mashed potato's and a veggie and it is one adult CS but is more than enough food to split.

For TS meals you could try Liberty Tree Tavern in the MK it is a family style with characters at dinner only. Also there is the Garden Grill at Epcot once again it is characters. I also hear 'Ohana is neat because they have races and games for the kids to do. There is also Whipsering Canyon Cafe in the Wildness Lodge they do little antics and funny things I hear it can get a little loud but that doesn't bother us we are trying it next trip.

We loved coral reef when we went in Feb we are going there again. Have a great trip!!!

You have to get creative on the kids DP CS meals. I plan on hitting a couple of places with no kids menu - Casey's in MK for a hotdog Main St Bakery in MK for pastries and/or a sandwich and Pizza Planet in MGM for pizza for all. I will also be sharing some of my meals with the kids - at Columbia Harbor House - I'll get an adult meal and a side (snack credit if possible otherwise pay OOP) of one or two clam chowders and the kids and I will split all of this.

Also, ds5 is a huge burger fan and it is difficult to find burgers on the kids meal plan - so I will be getting a double burger and paying for an extra bun once or twice so that he can have a burger too.

For TS - we added Tony's Town Square at MK to our list because they offer pasta on the kids DP and my kids LOVE pasta.

For other CS - lots of options at EPCOT - Sunshine Seasons, the Mexico and the CHina CS all offer different non-nugget options on the kids' DP.

Have fun and enjoy!

You can't go wrong every place is kid friendly and they have a variety pretty much everywhere. Check out all ears.net for menus ahead of time to give you a better idea.
