First time using autopay for dues

I have a question about auto pay for dues. I just set it up and plan to pay with gift cards each month prior to the date that the payment comes out. How many days ahead should I plan to make my payment? Also, I have multiple contracts.....will I be able to make just a payment to my membership like I would annually or do I need to make a payment on each contract to stop the autopay for the month on that contract? Thank you for your advice.

A few days in advance is fine as the system will update automatically, Sometimes, I have to reload the page to see the changes in the monthly amount.

If you want it to cover payments for more than one contract, then you have to apply by contract,

When I did it last year, I made sure my gift cards were in amounts that covered the payment for each contract, For example, I bought a $200, and 3 $100 so I could apply to each of my 4 contracts.

I only did it twice and then decided to handle things differently this year.

The bummer is that it is contract by contract but is pretty easy if you have a larger amount on a gift card so that you can do it all in one transaction.

Thank you. Both replies have been helpful. I have several large gift cards so I should work fine. I plan to purchase a few more as the year goes on if I don't have enough to spread out my discounts and my fuel points.

I buy a set amount in gift cards for the cash back every month and then combine the gift cards into one big one and one second one. I then use those to pay my dues all at once in December. I find it easier then having to pay every month before the debit is drawn.
