first time trip 11-23 through 11-30

We will be going on our first trip to wdw the week of thanksgiving! I understand that its a busy week that week but with school and work schedules. .it had to be. It'll be our family of four. Kids ages are 4 & 6. Tell me if its going to be miserable that week bc I'm alittle worried! I want a magical first trip!

We've hit the spring break crowds and have never been miserable and I hear those and Christmas are the worst. Just make a plan, go early into the parks and take a break. If you get up and go, you will get a lot done! We are doing Thanksgiving next year so I'm anxious to hear.

We did this as our first trip in 2010. It was me, my then 7 year-old daughter and my then 10 month old son. We arrived the Sunday before Thanksgiving and left the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The most crowded day was the day before Thanksgiving at Epcot. It scaled a 9.5 out of 10. We stayed all day and had a blast. We took our breaks inside the parks because the weather was very nice. I think it got to 84 on one day of our trip. It was crowded but manageable. There was one time when we wanted to go to the next country in World Showcase, but a show had started and the crowds were too thick for us to move, but we had a great week. The Christmas decorations are up and the Osborne lights were shown that week. I would go back that week in a heartbeat, but it was a random thing for my daughter to have that week off. Her fall break has been based on a conference her teachers attend and the dates are not consistent year to year.

Another thing about your first trip being when it's busy, every other time you go the crowds will feel light to you.

It is going to be busy, but it will be ok. Just get up early and get to the parks. Can you do FP+? Managing Fast Passes will be key during a busy time.

Yes! We plan to use fast passes! I'm mentally preparing myself for crowds but I still think well have a great time!! Thanks for the advice!!
