First time transferer - what would you tell me?

Hi ladies and gents:

So I will be doing my transfers for the first time.

I have read up on the Tips pages, but you know how you feel like there will be one thing you wished you knew that you didn't.

Do you have one of those to share with me?

Was one brand of T better than the other?
Iron settings?
Something about the white space and cutting around it!

I have bought Amy's transfers and I am sure I have enough if I were to screw one up ... but you know about trying to get it right the first time so you don't waste money.

I am making like 25 shirts total ... so one mess up and I will be upset!

I did Amy's transfers three week's ago (40 shirts). It's a piece of cake. As long as you follow her directions you'll be fine.

I didn't follow the directions when adding a design to my daughter's dress as I didn't prewash. I was afraid the dress would shrink and wouldn't fit so I ironed it on without prewashing. I was considering it a disposable dress after our Busch Gardens trip. It was still fine. I even threw it in the washing machine after she wore it and had no problems. I'm NOT telling you to not prewash I'm just telling you that it was EASY to transfer them and even when I thought I was making a big mistake it worked!

We got a ton of compliments and as soon as I get my pictures back from my photopass CD I'll post.

Just make sure that you read ALL of the directions carefully before you begin. I was a first time tranferer, too. I did 25 shirts with Amy's transfers in February and they all came out great!

My DISigns worked great with Amy's transfers as well. Only issue was that my dryer seems to be a little too hot so I put shirts in to dry half way and then hung them up. Have worn multiple times since my trip in November and they look new!!
