First time to Universal

First time visitor to Universal. Staying at the Hard Rock Hotel

A few questions:

1. bought my tickets online straight from Universal website and was emailed tickets. Do i use the paper tickets to get into the gate or do i exchange them for a another form of media? If so, at the park? Hotel?
2. Does Universal allow you to take drinks and snacks into the parks?

if you were mailed paper tickets, use them to enter the parks.


you can take food/snacks and drinks into the park but no glass bottles are allowed

The one thing I dislike about Universal, paper tickets...GAH!

I would invest in a zip-top lanyard pouch, as some of those water rides SOAK you! And it's so much easier to show the Express Pass with that. I think we would have demolished our tickets if we kept having to take them out of a wallet to show.

You will also have to go to kiosk at hotel with hotel key to have your front of the line pass made. You definitely need to invest in lanyard for all of the things you wind up with......room key, front of the line pass and park ticket.....when you get your front of the line pass scanned it will work through the lanyard.

if your ep is destroy by the water rides in the park, you can have them remade at the guest services in the parks.
talk to the TM at the counter inside guest service
