First Time to DL, how is Easter Crowds? Please I need help!!

We are planning our first trip to DL, we can only do one weekend and it happens to be Easter weekend!
1. How crazy are the crowds?
2. What is the best place to stay?
3. With only 2 or 3 days what is the must do?

This trip will also celebrate our youngest sons 9th birthday so we want to make it special, any help you can give would be great!

I am sure it will be very busy because it is holiday and holidays are always busy but that doesn't mean you won't have a great time! One thing that could help us with your questions is what sort of budget are you on for this trip? Meaning are you planning to do a "budget trip" or a spend some money and stay at a hotel on property and eat a lot at the parks?

Since we are only planning on staying 2 or 3 nights, we do not mind paying a little more for rooms, (150 - 200 max). We would like to eat with characters at least once (Donald is my sons favorite) We do want to get the most for our short time there, planning on probably just doing Disneyland and not CA is my thought.
