First time to Camp @ Ft Wilderness

I made our Spring Break Reservations for a campsite (we have a travel trailer) this time around....this past July we stayed in a Cabin & loved it!

Any suggestions on a Loop to request?? I cant find my resort map from July...

Did you reserve a full hook-up, preferred, or premium? Depending on what you have a reservation for will make a difference on what is best.. Also are you bringing a pet?

When it comes to loops, info PP mentioned is important. Also helps to know if you want to be close to the action (pool? marina area?), or away from it all and more quiet.

I reserved a Full Hook up site....no pets....

I found the map on here and was thinking of 100- 200 loops.... Thought it would be close enough to the Pony Rides/Horses for my kiddos.. esp my DD...we didnt get to do any of the extras at the Fort this past trip.

100-200 are preferred, 300 pet preferred, 1600-1700-1800-1900 are full hook-up with 1600 & 1800 being pet loops. Even though you don't have a pet you could end up on one of those depending on how full they are..1600 (even though with no pet) would put you closest to the Meadows pool..

Welcome! Being as you have stayed at the Fort before, you already know what an awesome place it is. I do believe that the 1600 loop is considered a preferred loop now. That leaves 1700, 1800, or 1900. IMO, 1700 is the better of these loops. If you really want to be closer to the Ranch and stay in 100, 200, or 300, you could just pay the price difference.

I haven't heard anything of a change in status of 1600, I believe it is still Full. Can anybody confirm or deny?

Yes, 1600 through 1900 are still full hookup sites and all of them are pet loops. At least this was the status when we checked in last month and I was working with the front desk on getting a site. They had alot of sites down for routine maintenance and dead tree removal.

Considering I thought it was you that told me this, I am obviously wrong. Even while at FW last month, I kept thinking, "why is 1600 considered a preferred?"
