HI,
My husband almost passed out when I suggested that we camp at FW this year. I am more of the YC/BC "type" princess: but am really excited about the challenge of camping this year. (Our 9 year old twins are now scouts and are really into camping)

Sooo,

Tell me what I should bring for four nights in February with two 9 year olds. :confused3

OK I know I need a tent, four sleeping bags, a fan, a heater and an extention cord......

Help me fill in the rest of my list....

Thanks!

A Credit Card to run to the YC :rotfl2:

No really you could also get a Blow up bed to get you off the ground.

In Feb it's cold at night so depending on sleeping bags (you may want to zip 1 bag to the other double them for 2 people )you might want a blanket as well.
Flashlights .
Trash bags if it rains you can through things into to keep them dry .

And a great attitude camping is great we moved from a 2 man to a 2 room to a pop-up and just sold that for DVC.

This post has lots of good info on it. The painter's plastic sheets especially came in handy. We had always brought a large tarp before and I hated having to fold up a dirty, wet tarp when breaking camp.
I also brought a power strip and a timer. We used it so that the lights would be on around our tent at night to help find our way when returning. It was set to come on at dusk and then shut off about six hours later.
Have fun!!!

Great ideas, thanks!

I think my husband is going to hide my credit card to keep me from changing my mind and checking into the GF.....

Definitely get air mattresses!! Makes a huge difference!!

Also, a screen tent is very nice to have! Set it up over the picnic table. We also bring our electric coffee pot, crockpot, electric skillet, and sometimes a toaster oven! No roughing it for us -- even if we are in a tent!

You'll be using public showers :earseek: , don't let this scare you...It's still Disney, so they are pretty clean, but dirt does get tracked into the bathrooms. You will want shower shoes (ie flip flops, Crocs, or water shoes) for all members of your family and something to tote all your bathroom supplies in.

Yes, they have TP and electricity, so feel free to bring that hair dryer! Like I said...Its still Disney :earboy2:
