First time staying value... Pop Century?

POFQ is imho Disneys BEST resort at WDW. So for 300.00 it depends. Sometimes I would want that cash for food and stuff. But, its not that much more....tough choice.
We love POFQ also love POP!

DH and I are staying onsite for 2 nights prior to cruise. I'm wondering if we should stay at Pop for two nights and go to theme park one day or spend more on the room and stay at Gran Destino Tower for two nights and NOT go to a park. Suggestions??
